Great quality ice cream, varied and interesting flavors, always service with a smile and reasonably priced, especially for specialty ice cream

The Ankeny store was great the one time I was there but the Indianola location has lost my business. I’m on the Keto diet with my wife so we take our kids to the Indianola location after batting practice several times a month. They list Keto on the board but do not have it out front nor will they sell me any because they say a current ice cream has to sell out first. Why list something if you can’t sell it but on a few occasions? Great ice cream, just poor business on that locations part and I’m not driving to Ankeny every time for ice cream. Also they seem to have computer issues a lot when trying to pay with the gift cards.

Great place with great ice cream. Could use some extra hands at peak hours as the wait can be long even with two working.

Unique flavors! Mom and pop feel, with huge flavor profile. I mean who else has Dutch Letter ice cream? And it's good. Want something classic.they have that covered too. The only place I'd buy a pint from.

Stopped in on 7/25 icecream wasn't very good, we were the only ones in there and it took 5 minutes for someone to come to the counter.

Outside Scoop has not gotten any better over the summer, have been going their for multiple years and this year has by far been the worse. The storms have never been the same, they are the consistency very soft. Also I guess you don't get topping on it anymore. Plus like tonight, it says you can get 2 topping within a storm, tonight the person I was with ordered a cookie dough and reeses storm which is 2 toppings like it says and we got 1 of each. The employee didn't even ask to double check what he really wanted. So I was stuck with the other one that will be going to waste because it is not what we ordered. We have been their quite a few times this year, and have yet to see the same person working twice, in past summers you would know the employees as soon as you walked in the door. Needless to say I have given Scoop one two many chances and is very sad to say that it is now not the best ice cream place in town in quickly went to the bottom.

I'd give you 4 or 5 stars if you had my favorite more often which is banana ice cream.

Was at the indianola location in December Julie Hastings made several suggestions for my ice cream all were delicious can't wait till they open back up don't want to drive to Ankeny but may have to don't know if I can wait
