I absolutely LOVE this place! The complex is modern and has so many amenities.
The apartment itself is very well designed and is so pleasant to live in.
Staff is extremely professional, helpful and friendly, especially Stephanie.
100% recommended for anyone looking to live in beautiful Des Moines!

My experience living here has been nothing but the absolute best! The property manager Stephanie and leasing agent Shania have been extremely helpful with getting me settled into my apartment and making sure all of my needs are met to the best of their capabilities by promptly addressing my concerns. The maintenance team, Gilbert and Garrett, are quick to remedy any issues that occur throughout the property and in my apartment.

There are several amenities that are great for the little ones and any guests that you invite, including an outdoor and indoor rooftop with amazing views of downtown, a workshop room, a fitness center, a yoga room, bike storage, a pet spa, a gated pet park, and a bike repair room.

The interior of each building is regularly maintained, which makes living here even more seamless, and parking has never been better, especially considering the location. I would also like to include that there are fun and festive (sometimes themed) resident events each month that are hosted here, and each building includes controlled key-fob access, which is a major safety advantage.

Lastly, there is a conveniently located breakfast restaurant nearby called Mullets, which is reported to be "The Best Breakfast Restaurant in Des Moines" and is within walking distance.

I am glad we chose residences at river view for our stay in Des Moines. It’s been 6months and we are having a good time here. The views are too good and rooms are spacious especially I love the bathroom space larger and nice. The management is taking steps to get connected with the people staying here. It feels like having family here.

Yeah I help paint those buildings but I think I was down there by the Creek Fishing that day

- I lived there when it was Bici Flats. With the amount of times the building changed hands, you'll need to keep your own copies of all the bills because they will lose everything.
- Absolutely loved living here but there are some serious downsides that evolved while I was there (for about 3 years).
- It's dog friendly sure, but neither maintenance or residents clean up all the poop.
- There were pretty constant car break ins. Our catalytic convertor was stolen and the response was to call our insurance.
- Building and apartments are nice with a great location.
-Walls were rather thin, our neighbors fought and yelled all night long. Management didn't care and told us to call the police. This went on for 6 months.

My roommate and I are almost finished with our 13-month lease and we have had a great living experience here. There have been no issues and the staff has always been super helpful/responsive. Highly recommend living here.

My ac wasn't working on moving day and I had to go back to Chicago. I came a week later when I was told by the leasing office person that the AC was fixed. I come home on a Friday night and what do I find. The AC still not working. This is atrocious. More over it gets really hot inside, As a person who is very sensitive to temperature I had to get a room in a hotel. This is not what I signed up for.

The apartment itself is fine and the location is perfect however the management and maintenance is AWEFUL. I have been living there for 2 months now and our air conditioning went out in May and didn’t get fixed for 2 weeks! They claimed that it could get fixed unless it was 80 degrees or warmer outside which it was literally degrees cooler than 80. After at least 5 phone calls (which went to some company in Minnesota) they came out to look at it only to not be fixed a WEEK after the initial request was placed and we were given no update on the situation. They came out 3 separate times before it finally got fixed. Wouldn’t recommend living here seems like the management has gone down hill really fast as the response time from anyone is SLOW!

I sent my move out notice to the manager in February saying I would be moving out and not signing another lease, which was the end of May. After a reminder to the next manager, he requested I resend the original message about my move out. Now I find out they claim I did not give notice and still trying to get rent from me. I found out when a utility company emailed a bill for water usage. They contacted someone after I explained I did not live there. Then I received an email from another person who said she will close out the lease as of 5/31/21 and clear my account. Now I get a message saying BICI Flats has no record of my moving out. No one answers the phone or answer text messages. After living there for 4 years, I should get a little respect and get this resolved. Too bad, it used to be a nice place. Someone knew I was moving out, they replaced my name in the mailbox with ‘vacant’ on May 1,2021.

BICI was GREAT when I moved in. The lifestyle, location is still perfect but, management, and maintenance has dropped so low they are focusing all of their attention on ROWATS on 6th.

There is a serious mold issues in my apartment that has never been addressed. It is extremely hard to get prompt responses from management. Also you can hear literally everything from the apartments next to you and in the hallways. The walls are so thin that my apartment now smells like cigarettes due to my neighbor being a heavy smoker. Good location, but there are several apartment buildings with better prices and that do not leave issues unaddressed.

Happy that the hallway carpet was cleaned here at Bici. The lady in the office is always very kind and pleasant every time I call. Only reason for 4 star is the safety in the parking lot.

Makes me sad to read all the negative reviews. The new manager is great! Work orders and email responses are done in a timely matter. Would recommend to friends.

Apartment is very nice, walls are very thin and can hear everything. Communication isn’t always the best with the workers.
