The Retreat On 6th, Cedar Rapids IA

I’ve lived here for about 5 years. Retreat took over a few years ago and ever since the new company I’ve noticed a change in a good way. Maintenance guys work hard to keep property clean and updated. Office staff is kind and welcoming. They’ll take care of you.

The best place where I have lived and thanks to Aurora every time you have a question you go to the office and she is willing to help with everything

DON'T live here. The absolute worst place I've ever lived in Linn County The office refuses to work with you. The homeless community has VERY much taken over all the surrounding areas. Ghetto for sure! And the law is literally at the complex multiple times a day. Unsafe and does not feel like a home.

Amanda made a complicated lease situation go smoothly and quickly. I can’t say enough good things about the customer service I received here.

Maintenance has shown up promptly and fixed what has been needed to be fixed. Timely, professional, respectful. Moved in 9/15/22

Employees are very friendly and helpful! I did unfortunately have the pleasure of one with an attitude, I’m hoping she had a bad day that day as I’m not exactly sure whom she was.

Laundry building I used once so far is clean, working machines, love the app function.

Parking is an issue, not enough spaces and people park wherever they want. Including blocking garages and parking in places that are not parking spots.

I’ve witnessed kids dumping garbage wherever they want despite the dumpsters. Kudos to the maintenance staff that clean the grounds up every morning!

It is a reasonable price for what is offered. Especially in this market. So far most of the people, including residents, have been somewhat friendly. I am an easy going person and go with the flow type.

Manager and staff are great to work for, payment system is easy and get paid in a timely fashion!

Management made it so easy to find the right apartment for me and and have a grate experience with them.

Megan Platner is amazing to work with! She is very knowledgeable & answered any questions we had through capturing photos! We would definitely recommend working with Megan!

We've lived here for 6 months now. It's a clean, quiet, and delightful community. The buildings are older, but kept up really well. Heating was very affordable this winter. They let you garden in front of your unit which is a huge plus for me. Internet is fast. Water is good. Laundry facilities are newer and easy to access. It's great and the smell of cereal in the early morning is a Cedar Rapids experience I've really missed.

My girlfriend and I have recently got an apartment at The Retreat on 6th and have had nothing but a positive and welcoming experience. Every staff member has been helpful in answering any questions we had and showed us all then options we could choose from. Rates are absolutely reasonable and security is great. Camera all around the parking lots (with more to be installed I believe) and coded doors on the entrance of each building with all buildings having different codes to enter. They also have police that patrol through every day. We look forward to our first year at The Retreat.
