Went to the outside festival they were having. It was too crowded to get inside. So I can't give it a fair assessment at this time.

Stepped into The Ridge today for the first time ever. The bartender Mclaine was very professional and polite. Served me instantly. Which is what I look for the second I walk into the bar. I will come again!

I go to The Ridge when they have live bands. Great space, excellent service and decent choice of beers.

It's a bar. I mean there's really nothing that stands out different. You get served, you enjoy, you go home.
Now the younger crowd. I have seen the patio packed on music nights when I drive by, but it's way to crowded for my liking anymore. Looks fun though.

Absolutely great food and great service. Everyone there was wonderful. A little high priced for some but the food is totally worth it.

Wonderful outdoor fire pit area. Can get a bit congested inside, but there's an outdoor walk up area to order drinks and staff is pretty on top of things.

Bartender's are nice.but it's a strip mall bar. Atmosphere is bright and bad for a bar. Prices are good. Fire outside is good.but if you want a sterilized bar playing rap music, this is your place. Had the maple bacon old fashioned.pretty sweet and not super enjoyable (unless you like sweet)

I like a nice bar to sit at, watch something on TV, and sip a gin and tonic. I don't go out all that frequently for this, but it's still nice every now and then. The Ridge is not but a 5 minute drive from my home and in a familiar area of Davenport, so when someone recommended I try the place, I decided to stop by for a visit.

The place is a nice upscale bar. There's a large patio outside with what appears to be a fire pit surrounded by large Adirondack chairs in one prominent section. The furnishing and features of the interior further cement its quality. The floors are a simple polished dark concrete slab. Seating ranges from plush stools at the bar to high top tables and booths. The ceiling area is an uncovered plenum, leaving all light fixtures, conduit, and HVAC ductwork visible to those bothering to look at it. Lighting is a combination of recessed fixtures and a large backlit sign behind the bar to other neon signs in the area. Visually, the low lighting and the variety of seating options offer a comfortable, warm experience overall.

I ended up ordering my most commonly consumed drink - a bombay sapphire and tonic. It was a good gin and tonic - well balanced between the liquor and mixer, sufficiently cold, slight citrus from the lime wedge. Everything I'd want in such a drink.

The only downside to my experience on the day I visited was the relative noise level in the bar. For a place that advertises themselves as a "social drinkery", the general noise level from the music was a bit high. If I want to go somewhere with friends to kick back, have a few drinks, and generally chat for a while, this would not be the place. All the loud music does is cause everyone else to talk even louder, which leads to a general cacophony that only feeds back on itself and gets worse. This was partially abated by the presence of "British Bingo", but only partially. I only came out to grab a drink and relax while watching some TV for a bit and really wasn't interested in the Bingo that much. It seemed fun and on a return trip if I knew it was happening, might enjoy playing in the future. Maybe another time.

The Ridge is a nice place - good, plush bar stools, nice drinks, and mostly good atmosphere. If they turned down the music a bit, it would be even better and live up to its description as a "social drinkery". Maybe I'll see you again, Ridge. Take care.
