Theisen's, Marshalltown IA

Customer service was outstanding! The store was clean. All the employees were helpful and the customer service counter woman went above and beyond to help me.

We bought two trailer tires and the worker in automotive said we could come back with the old rims to have the new tires put on and balanced. We returned asap at 7pm and the guy sighed and said "Well, the thing is, we spend the last hour open, cleaning. " We explained that we would rather not leave our camper propped up over night because it's not stable. He sighed again and offered to do it when he came in tomorrow at 9am. We asked politely if there was any way they could do it or any other workers that could help, and he said no.
I don't recall seeing anywhere that the automotive dept stops working at 7pm even though the store is open until 8pm. I've seen other reviews and seems like the automotive area is constantly getting low ratings. However the young lady at customer service desk was very nice as we returned the tire.

The lady at the counter was grumpy and I had paint purchased from Tyson's unopened and they wouldn't return it. All I wanted to do was exchange for a different color.

I arrived 10 minutes before closing time. I was greeted at the door and encountered another member of the staff while I was chasing down the items on my list. Both were courteous, welcoming and neither pressured me to hurry along or reminded me of the time. 5 stars for the staff, 3 stars for closing at 8pm on a Friday.

I have always liked Theisen's four their selection and cleanliness. Clothes, work boots, grilling goodies, etc. Their personnel are always good to me too.

Very good got Mt tennis shoes at a great price and will come back did not know they expanded looked pretty good

We stopped in for dog food and ended up with tires, shoes, thermal long john's, pop corn (of cpurse) and dog food.we love Theison's!

Great place to shop. They have a little bit of everything. Got some Christmas item I haven't seen anywhere else.

I love Theisen’s. Not sure what it is about Farm Stores but this one is great. Kitchen stuff, clothing, animal stuff, equipment.they seem to have it all

Great store, it's huge and has everything you could need for the farm and animals. We like to go out in the spring to see the baby chicks.

The manager is exceptionally kind and helpful. The staff answered all my questions and helped me figure things out.

Good place for clothes and tools, but the need to take the farm part out of their name. The farm supplies selection and service is something to be desired. They also need to have more checkouts open as you tend to wait in line for longer than you should have to.

I was not impressed with the lack of service at the outside automotive entry door. I pushed the button several time to call an attendant for tire repair. If you are not going to answer the buzzer don't put up the sign. I went somewhere else for "service"

This place pretty much has anything you could need. They expanded the store a few years ago and have a lot of clothing items, tailgating supplies, toys, hardware, farm equipment, pet supplies, even some grocery items. They also sell hunting and fishing licenses. They don't tend to have major sales, but that's because everything is at a fair price.

Told and SHOWED the store manager of the Marshaltown store that the chick feed on the display was infested with grain mites. Thousands we're crawling all over the bags. Went back several hours later and it was all still there. This is the last time I buy any feed, animal or human, at this Theisens. Gross.

Has a lot of outdoor activitie supplies. It has a good selection of pet supply. It aleo has a lot of farming things.

The help can do a better job of being having following through with things for customers
The help needs to remember the customers pay for their wages and keeps the company in business. Have not had a great experience more than once in the Ames and Marshalltown stores. You need alot of improvements. Ames has a new Menards coming soon so you need to improve alot soon. Good luck you'll need it.

I love Theisens! They have a great variety of items in one great store! I've shopped there for years! Very clean and a lot of space to move around without feeling crowded. Wonderful customer service!

Great place to stop by at as just not farm store with good range of agricultural stuff but carry pet supplies, clothes, kids toys, hunting and fishing and automotive supplies as well
