T.J. Maxx reviews
19Not as good as other T. J. Maxx stores. Not much Men's clothing. Manager and staff were very helpful.
Nice store. Like the old TJ Max's stores were. Much better and friendlier than CR store.
Lots to look over nice things r still pricey for a discount store don't shop here often and remember why I don't lots of junk too
We found some great deals! My granddaughters, who grow out of clothes so quickly, receive compliments daily. It's nice to be able to look good and save money!
I love all the items that come in and knowing I can keep finding something new instead of the same products.
I don't like this place. I'm not even really sure why, it just feels like a flea market pretending to be posh. The candles smell good, but they're expensive for what they are. In fact, I think that's basically it; I'm pretty sure everything here is made by tiny little kids in some country we've flossed our crack on economically, and the prices are just cranked to the Maxx. That's probably the store's namesake. My wife drags me here as a last ditch before we buy stuff online when we can't find it anywhere else locally. We used to buy facsimiles of stuff just to replace it with actually good stuff we eventually bought online instead, but nowadays we've all but broken that cycle; now the only thing I buy here are the candles and weird candies when I'm overcome with a combination of curiosity and guilt (because we come here all the time and never buy anything otherwise). Does anyone actually shop here, or are we all here out of boredom? Is it the same with life in general? Thirty-four is a weird age; it's like you're not old, but you're not really young either. It's a liminal age, like a dentist's waiting room of an age, or like a T. J. Maxx of an age. It's not really a destination, but sort of a place in between places.
I’m so happy TJ Maxx survived Covid! This is one of my favorite places to shop. I’ve only had good experiences at any TJMaxx including the store in Coralville. The employees are so nice! Thank you for being consistently a great company.
The store always has a great selection. I drive down from Cedar Rapids just to visit this store. Other shops to visit close by.
My best friend wanted a basket for a picnic we're having for her birthday. Well guess what since it's about to be easter this TJ Maxx had it. And it was pink!
Your mens section is embarrassing. You have 3/4 of the store take up girls and then leave like 5% for the men…. Lmaooooooo. Like is it a joke? !? !
You never know what you will find! The clothing is reasonably priced. I find the juniors section has more to offer the younger generation but I don’t have problems spending my money! Lol. I do wish the shoe selection was better. I know that’s supposed to be Marshall’s but it’s lacking there too! Love my last shopping spree over the weekend tho!
Nice store with a very helpful staff. Just stopped in to check for a few home decorating items for Christmas on our way home. I collect Santa's and they had a very nice one that I purchased. Store was very clean.like to shop this store as my wife can find clothing items for our grand kids. Very reasonable prices as well.
This branch has many issues. One it is very disorganized now. 2. It is unclean most of the time. 3. New stuff does not come out as frequent as it used to a year ago. 4. The store is messy and has only one cashier serving the always longest line on weekends. It looks like they have a new careless/incompetent manager who is never available. The most serious problem of all is that almost every time I shop there, there is a drove of shoplifters who conspicuously steal in front of everyone at the store and walk away so easily as if nothing happened. None of the staff even try to prevent them from walking away with the stolen merchandise. This is an invitation to more serious crimes. If the manager at the store is OK with that, I wonder what the higher ups in the corporate office think of it. It is not so difficult to witness all I mentioned above because it happens frequently enough, and if confirmed by whom it may concern in that company, how does TJMaxx CEO or regional manager think of shoplifters arriving from every county as a group in a mission to steal from this branch because the word is out no one will prevent them from stealing! Is he/she waiting until a conscientious customer interferes with a robbery and gets hurt or they too do not care as evidently the store manager doesn't.
I have always LOVED this store! I always leave with way to much. Theres a lil bit of everything.so something for everyone!
The least expensive store in its class. It beats Amazon prices for the same items. Those who have been visiting the store regularly for the past two years will tell you that it was better back then than now. Management must have changed. It used to be cleaner, more organized, and more items were in display than today.
It's a standard TJ Maxx. I don't frequent them often but, it has discounted stuff you may need. Clean store. Staff were not very friendly. Long checkout line.
Staff wouldn't let me redeem my JC Penny's gift card which I got from returning to them
As one reviewer previously stated: “This place is alright but hy vee is superior. ”
Seriously though, I usually am able to find some classy apparel. Although many times I go in, it’s mostly empty, and if I find a shirt I like, it seems to be usually 3x-small. But then there are always those amazing days? They also could use some more variation in their pants section. Overall though a great store!
Very disappointed after spending half an hour selecting ten items then finding out the dressing rooms are closed. They told me I could purchase all the items and return what didn’t work. No thank you, they must not need my business
