Tootsie's Ice Cream and More, La Porte City IA

Ice cream was awful. We wasted over 10 dollars on blizzards we could not eat. There pizza burger was good though. Just don't waste your money on ice cream.

Didn't even acknowledge us at the window after 10 minuets. The few men standing and working looked out at us but no one said anything. Will not reccomend.

It might be good? Been waiting 45 minutes for a hamburger and still waiting. I guess we'll be riding back to Waterloo in the dark, update: We never did get food. After about 50 minutes we asked again if they would make us a hamburger and they said it should only be about 10 more minutes. At that point we asked for a refund. The manager wasn't happy about it, but did refund our money. Ate a slice of Casey's pizza for dinner an hour later. I'd give that 3.5 stars.

Food is pretty good. Icecream is their best thing. Service can be slow. Bit otherwise we love coming here.

Ice cream tasted sour and awful. Also, there was an older woman working that was utterly rude and disrespectful.

Great local place - perfect for a meal along the Cedar Valley Nature Trail. They have covered outdoor seating so you can sit in the shade.

Go ahead and drive to waterloo save yourself some time, you could drive to waterloo, pick up some alternative really anywhere, eat your meal in the amount of time you would be sitting waiting for your order at tootsies. Save yourself the trouble

What a wonderful classic drive-in resturant. You could order at the window and sit outside at a picnic table or drive up to the drive in window and take your food with you

You’re going to need a spoon for the shakes… you’re going to need a straw for the twisters (which is supposedly a blizzard). Good fries though.

What a great small town gem! Good hot food and ice cream served through a walk up window. They have a drive thru window as well. Love the Tootsie roll in the bottom of the bag too!

There was hair in my daughter's ice cream. She pulled her spoon out of her ice cream and there was dark hair on her spoon. I took it back to the window and told the boy and he didn't know what to do. I asked for another to be made he did so with no problem. We received no apology or remorse. They forgot to make all of our order so we had a long wait, though we were their only customers. While waiting I noticed that a few of them not wearing anything to cover their hair, so before leaving I questioned the older woman who came to the window only to be responded with attitude and told they do not have to wear anything if hair is short enough. Though it was a short maybe 2 inch hair in my child's ice cream

Took a long time to get our food. Was good food and the order was correct. No restroom available for customers
