Staff was extremely friendly and chatty when they were available to talk, I was given an estimate based on what I had gone in for originally which was quite a few things honestly, so I can't even remember what the estimate was. I live almost an hour away, and I decided to stop by Tuffy's more due to the fact that my local Auto Repair store was booked for the day (in retrospect I should have scheduled and appointment with them sooner). The place in my town is definitely cheaper (even after Kelsy helped me out with a discount from her own pocket), probably due to being an extremely small family owned business. Needless to say, I am happy with the work that was done to my car at Tuffy's, but for now this business is probably only a second choice for me.
Not much negative to say at all, I appreciate the work that was put into everything.

I had just finished an 11 hour drive and was minutes from my hotel when something began thumping and dragging on the ground. We discovered that it was a long panel underneath the car that was designed to protect the vehicle from rocks and such doing damage. It had become unbolted and was now too damaged for us to rebolt, but still attached to well to pull it off. Fortunately, we were in front of the Tuffy shop when this happened. Although it was around 5: 30 PM, the mechanics set aside what they were doing, put my vehicle on the lift, and found a way to bolt it back on so that I could get on my way. Although I would have gladly paid, they did NOT charge me anything at all! Kindness still exists. I am so thankful for these men and their gracious help when I was in need!

Had a very pleasant experience here getting my vehicle worked on. The manager Nick Trapp was very helpful explained everything so it was easy to understand. Will do business here again. Will definitely recommend to other people as the service is very good!

We paid for the full inspection of the vehicle we pay a huge amount of money to fix something on the vehicle And after that 3 days later we have to bring it in again and they want to charge us double the amount of money to fix almost the same part They're text service don't know what hes doing and did not how to inspect a vehicle

We took our car in for an oil change and they found another big problem which led to a 2nd big problem that both had to be immediately fixed. Now my car is safe to drive again, hopefully, for many more years. Repairs were completed in a reasonable time very professionally. Very greatful our usual place we took our car for an oil change, couldn't get it in for 35 days! Tuffy's could immediately and caught all these problems.

Joel and his team are great, honest and fair. I had another auto repair shop say I needed new brakes and I took it to Tuffy at my next oil change for another opinion. Joel told me that I still had 80% left on my brakes and they did not need replaced. I have always had great service at a fair price.

We have been bringing all of our cars to Tuffy's for a number of years now. Joel and crew have taken very good care of us and our vehicles. We have Tuffy's do all the maintenance and repairs on our cars. If they see any issues, they will advise us with an accurate price and discuss how soon the issue should be taken care of. They have even recommended we not make some repairs. I trust them fully and have had no problems when my wife or daughters have taken cars in by themselves. I recommend Ankeny Tuffy's to anyone looking for a excellent place to take their car.

I have taken my VW Jetta to Tuffy's for about five years. I trust this company. Alll of the guys working there are professional. As a single woman, I value that and the fact that they are not going to sell me something I don't need.

The owner, Joel, really cares about establishing a great relationship with his customers. I had 4 struts replaced on my 2008 Highlander when they had a special of buy 3 struts and get the 4th one free. His pricing was very good and the service was great.

They gave me a free ride to my home in Ankeny while the work was being done. The winter weather was bad and when they called to tell me the work was done, they offered to deliver my car to me so I didn’t need to go out in the sleet to pick it up. You can’t beat that level of customer service and Joel and his team have earned my future business and loyalty! I highly recommend Tuffy for your auto service needs in Ankeny!
