United States Postal Service reviews
12 The bottom line is, it's nearly impossible to get someone to answer the phone. I understand that they are very understaffed, but it would be nice if someone would at least pick up and place me on hold if they're busy.
I would give 2.75 stars if I could because everyone I've actually managed to speak to over the years has been helpful.
The mailman just determined I no longer lived at my address, not sure why, or how he’s even able to determine that since I had been receiving mail regularly nor did I change my address. He just decided, nope, they don’t live there, and decided to send a very important, rare and hard to find item, back to the sender, and now I get to hope the sender will hold it for me, and send it back without the mailman deciding I don’t need it again.
This office has terrible hours of operation and close earlier than any other facility. Very inconvenient when a large portion of their customers get off of work at 4 or 5.
If I could give Zero stars I would. Supposed to be open at 930 on Saturdays and they are never open on time!
Whenever I have interacted with an individual at this office, I have always had wonderful service! I feel that they really go above and beyond. Our mail carrier who works out of this location is also top-notch. Whenever he is delivering items he knows I might be waiting for a he carries them up to the front door rather than putting them in the box. Again, above and beyond! Thank you to the postal service workers at this location!
It is pretty hit or miss here. I've had good experiences and poor ones. My conversations with people here, in person or by phone, have been mostly productive, which I appreciate.
I was away for an extended period of time, and this postal station allowed a relative to come pick up my held mail, with my permission. I was thankful that this was allowed.
As for the hold mail requests, these have sometimes worked, but, other times, packages have been delivered during the hold mail period, which is frustrating, because carriers often don't put packages out of sight (again, the point of having a container in front of the house to keep them safe). I also don't understand why, when a hold mail is in effect, packages via USPS would still be delivered.
A couple of times, a USPS package delivery driver has thrown packages over my front gate, even though I have a box with nearly foot-high letters that says "PACKAGES" by the gate. One of these packages contained a book that I'd ordered from overseas; the book's spine was broken and it literally had grass stains! I went to this postal location, and explained to the manager that this is unacceptable. He was friendly and apologized multiple times, saying he would do something about it.
For every one frustrating instance, there are many good ones that go unnoticed; such is the life of USPS employees.
We get our neighbors mail. We've had neighbors get ours regularly, too. Even packages! In this day of identity theft that must NOT happen. Postman, please double check the mail AS you deliver it. Please! Look at the STREET NUMBER as well as the house number. I get mail for my house number but on many wrong street numbers! Thank you!
This place deserves zero stars. I feel like they are stealing my mail because it never shows up in my mailbox for weeks and when I call them, they have no idea what is going on. I’m frustrated and wish I could relocate to a different usps. I don’t trust a single person who works here.
Wow Terrible - Live in a part of WDM that for some reason has a different carrier like every single day. One of those carriers decided to mark my place as unable to deliver because he couldn't get any mail into my tiny 5x5 box. I was gone for 3 days. Now we haven't gotten any mail over almost 10 days and they say that all of our packages and mail has been returned to sender.
I have a very expensive package that was supposed to be delivered today. I added delivery instructions that said to leave it on the porch but don't knock. 10am I get a text that says it'll be delivered by 1215pm. 1130am rolls around and I get another text saying it was held at the post office as per customers request. Thats not what I asked for. I called and the guy said he didn't know why it wouldn't be delivered because its the normal carrier. I tell im fine with picking it up was just curious why it didn't get delivered. He takes my name and number down and says he'll call me when she gets back from the route and I can pick it up then. Its now 5pm, I never got a call and they're closed.
I was surprised because the reviews left me terrified to go in. But I met with Scot there and he could not have been more helpful. Answered all my questions, knew what he was doing, told me he would follow up on my issue, and called me back back later that day. Would happily go back for any other issue.
This particular location does not allow you to mail packages or buy stamps. Should not be listed as a Post Office open to the public if they do not offer basic services.
