UnityPoint Clinic Urgent Care - Altoona

My 5yr old is sick went there to see what is wrong they would not see her.only 2 people in waiting room. I came home from work because my wife was taken by Ambulance.will never go back.no matter what.only reason for the 2* is the gal up front was nice.

If you see Dr Sean R Trammel be ready for the worst experience ever. Both times I have been forced to go he was busy looking at the ceiling vs eye contact. He told me not worth his time to look at my charts. Husband told him he needed a rapid test done per what work ordered him to do and the Dr decided to do the other test because that is what he wanted to do. This Dr is young and has no manners at all. He is busy in his self world vs paying attention to the sick person

Always a very bad experience, super slow, you have to wait up to 2 hours or more to enter the consultation and more than 30 minutes while in the office waiting for the doctor, wait, wait and wait

For one when we had walked in we were the fourth person in line, everyone was getting called back nicely, however we started seeing people that came after us go back, then another one and another one, mind you i had been waiting for nearly two hours now to get called back, still nothing.i walked up to ask where i was in line and there were still three people ahead of us, even tho everyone before us has already been seen and left.sadly there was also a little girl in there who really couldnt catch her breath from coughing so bad an they failed to help her.i wouldnt suggest going to this location of urgent care.

Too long waiting time, almost 3 hrs. I’ve been to this place 3 times, had to wait for almost three hours on first two visits. 3rd time when they said that I had to wait for 3 hours, I left the place immediately. Also, we had noticed that several people who registered later than us were sent to doctor earlier, while we waited for full three hours. Interestingly, they say they don’t accept appointments, so how come the people who registered later got the chance to see doctor quickly!

I went there for a reoccurring bloody nose, leg cramps & dizziness, & the nurse AND the PA were rude & condescending.

Place is a joke, you get an appointment online, make sure you are there before your scheduled appointment and have to wait HOURS just to be seen. Nothing urgent about this place.

The worst place I have ever been. I suggest just going to the ER or somewhere else. Hailey the the nurse practitioner failed to properly diagnose and actually look at the patient. There communication is terrible. You call to complain and they get rude and threaten to hang up on you. GO AT YOUR OWN RISK. I ended up in the Emergency room.

So, I was having severe pain in my back after a diagnosis of pneumonia in my lung. I came to the urgent care in Altoona and the staff was absolutely great,
I was seen by a PA who I will call Dr. Diewold, she was absolutely Awesome and she had suspicions that the pain I was having was possibly due to a pulmonary embolism, her suspicion was correct, Dr. Diewold I can’t that thank you enough for catching that and you quite possibly saved my life. You are an absolutely great and caring Physician, Thank you so much Dr. Diewold.

Slowest doctors office I’ve ever had to attend. Just know if you show up, your wait will be over an hour… every single time.

Came in with only a few people ahead of me which was expected, but when i was called to be up next, i waited over an hour to be seen w out seeing anyone go in or out.extremely ridiculous to be here for more than 2 hours especially after waiting for 90% percent of that time.

They say to call when arrive and get checked in so when I call and get checked in they tell me watch your phone and someone will call when we have a room ready. I've been waiting in my car for 30 min and for the time I've been waiting I see 4-5 people walk in and don't come back out which means they are getting seen FIRST! This place needs to follow what they say and let first come first serve and if u tell one person to wait in there car they need to tell EVERYONE

After a week of mistakes miscommunication and frustration with OTHER Unity Point entities the staff here went above and beyond to make things as smooth and easy as possible for my family. They may have just kept us from walking. Gems

Was seen right at our reserved time and received great care. The staff was also very accommodating and nice with my baby daughter.

I came into UnityPoint’s Altoona Urgent Care today (a Sunday morning) for severe pain. All of the staff members were so helpful. Having just moved to the area and not having a PCP, urgent care was my only option for relief. The front desk got me checked in quickly and I was taken back to a room within 10 minutes of arriving. The provider was so helpful and truly cared about understanding and treating my pain. I am so happy to have found this place!

Wait time was reasonable for me coming in without an appointment. Everyone was wearing appropriate masks. The clinic was very clean, and full of very friendly, helpful, and understating people. I’m overall very satisfied and would definitely return for future appointments.

Took my husband and was seen in less than 10 mins. Excellent care. Always very caring and helpful. Thank you for what you do.
