Worst hospital I’ve ever encountered. Nurses standing around the Nurse’s Station BSing at the patient’s expense. This “hospital”deserves no stars! You can tell there is very little oversight of the so-called “professionals. ”

Absolutely disgusted with the way the hospital had treated my mother.
My mother is bipolor she recently had a mental breakdown which she needed to goto the hospital.
The doctor that was assigned her room was making accusations that my mother was on meth/drugs.
She explained she doesn't so drugs other than the prescribed medication.
My mother is a Jehovahs witness she is an extremely nice lady she won't even lie because Jehovah is watching.
So it breaks my heart when someone treats my mother badly.
I find it extremely unprofessional to just acuse a woman of being an addict for whatever reason without knowing the person.
To let an old lady walk out of your hospital while crying and giving her no help is horrible.
Where do we turn when we can't even goto the hospital for help.

This is a sad judgmental world we live in.

Called the billing dept.before a scheduled procedure to get an estimate of cost. The final cost ended up being over 5x more than the estimate. Called central billing to get an explanation and Dillon H.said it was just 'the way they do things'.

The nurse that’s working in the ER tonight is so busy she’s on the computer lol i love how she tells everyone else in the waiting room “someone is getting sent to Iowa city” but doesn’t come over here and tell me our mom is the one getting sent.she’s literally on her freaking phone as we’re sitting here… waiting.super rude.don’t come here- go to mercy.to Finley: 08/12/23 @ 11: 23 pm.just so y’all can see who was working this night.

My sister was recently cared for in this facility for a period of about 9 days. She did not want to be there. She wanted to be at home. Having said that, she told me that everyone was very nice to her and she could not even think of anything negative to say about the care that she received. I am very grateful and appreciative of the staff at this facility.

How are you going to look at someone who is uncontrollably getting sick and came for help to control themselves and tell them to be quiet because ur disturbing others? You are a hospital! You are a very sad and slow hospital, you do not show people you care.let alone it seems like you do not want to help. Matter-of-fact i know you don't want to help because you're nurse have said they wont help. Sad.

Sent my test results & records to the wrong doctor. When I found out my referring doctor didn't get the info, several weeks later, I contacted Finely/Unit Point on-line, no reply. Called & had to leave VM. An administrator on call (Jeff) returned call & left VM stating problem would be resolved by 10AM that day. A month later I get a call from the referring doctor again stating test results never arrived. Tried once again to use the on-line patient portal, nothing! Had to take time off & drive to Finely/Unity Point. No one knew whom I should talk to & kept "passing the buck". I've called, I've emailed, I've used the patient portal, I've been placed on hold for up to 52 minutes & have been transferred 5 to 6 times & everyone states they can't help me & push me off to someone else. My last surgery I had done at Genesis Hospital in the Quad Cities just for this very reason, poor care & poor follow-up at Finley. Oh but the billings for these services & tests keep coming & they want my Insurance money & my deductible share immediately, but the professional prompt service I expected & the referring doctor (from the Quad Cites, because the last Finely doctor falsely diagnosed me & tried to push a surgery on me that I didn't need) needed to form a prompt & professional treatment plan. I'd give no stars if possible.

I had a major safety concern when multiple visitors were allowed to visit my newborn son, in the NICU, after visiting hours.

Jenny Scott, the director of the family birthing suites, wrote an incident report to document the incident but wouldn’t share any information with me when I requested it. She, along with the other staff members, tried to sweep the incident under the rug and pretend nothing happened.

Unfortunately, I don’t recommend UnityPoint for labor/delivery patients.
