Duplicate charges on my bill and the hospital still has not removed them after over a month of trying. First they billed me for the same procedure by two different doctors, now, I'm billed for the same doctor twice. They said they would get back to me within a few days and when I call back I get the runaround. Beware of duplicate charges especially if you are an older patient. They seem to count on you not looking at your bill. Sad. I have tried for a month, and don't get return calls.

No stars if I could! Nursing staff absolutely horrible! As seen in pictures the filth of this room, when asked for my medicine the nurse came in open the vile and threw right on floor when she was done! Toilet was 3 feet from my bed but I was not allowed to disperse of my urine they had to…… but no one did, instead I had to eat, sleep next to it! Asked to talk to my doctor was declined then BULLIED into signing AMA papers 3 times! The morning after major surgery was escorted out by security when I could barely stand all because I wanted to speak to administration! Callie Miller R. N worst nurse ever to busy to care for patients all while on her phone or gossiping about her wedding! Do Not go here if you want to live, go to Mercy because you are their Guinea pig, they don’t care! I also recorded every intersection with the nurse staff to prove my findings! All I get is “I am sorry”

Staff and all doctors are amazing. My surgery doc. Was top notch. Am staying in hospital now. I only got one lung. Only complaint was after my surgery they put me in a room with some one else that is highly contagious. And i only got one lung. They are risking my life if he gives it to me.

Would give this a 100 out of 10 if I could!
Had surgery under Dr. Scott Owen and the team was amazing. Not only was the team down to earth but they explained everything in terms we understood. After surgery they were patient with me and event sent me a get well card to my home. Highly recommend this surgical center and am so happy with my results.

If you are a POC stay away from this hospital. I had a nursing assistant try to take my blood sugar without sterilizing my hand first. Then she proceeded to argue with me, stating that, “ We don’t use alcohol, it taints the sample. ” I said, “ Well my nurse uses alcohol. ” and she said it is because they were old school. If your nursing assistant can’t do something so simple as to take a blood sugar why are they there? Then the room was filthy the nurse had to clean it for me because there was urine everywhere. If you are a person of color you will not receive the care you need here.

Not only is it very confusing trying to figure out where to park and not to park. The staff is incredibly rude. Between their attitudes and the words they actually say to you, I will never waste my time of driving 3 hours one way to this facility. I would not recommend I'd rather drive 6 hours one way and be treated with respect then to deal with this ever again.

The worst service ever. They lie about the services they provide and exploit their patients. They should be audited by the state.

This has to be the best place in the state to have surgery. I had a tonsillectomy here which went perfectly, and they took my concerns over possible nausea after anesthesia very seriously. I was even a little scared in the OR and the surgical nurse held my hand and told me about how her son was scared of surgery too. I am still amazed by how good my experience was.

BEST salad bar I've ever eaten at, is on 1st floor. However, every patient I've visited had to share a small room with another patient.

Finally got up to the Crisis Stabilization Unit after 50+ hours in the ER. I spent 36 hours in the hallway as an immunocompromised, overstimulated patient, and I had to fight for hours to get a room away from all of the sick, coughing, vomiting people. I barely have enough white blood cells as it is, and I already have a slight temp and some chest pain when I inhale. Gotta love coming to the hospital not sick, and then getting sick because psych patients apparently don't deserve rooms, no matter how long they're in the ER.

After less than 1 day up in the CSU, we had only changed one medication dosage, talked about making some changes (but those changes apparently don't include taking me off the problematic medication.), and the PA, social worker, and nurse are already asking if I'll be ready to leave tomorrow. Apparently "this all could have been fixed outpatient" but I've been trying to do that for 2 months already. And I've said that MULTIPLE TIMES. If I hear "you should have done this outpatient" one more time, I will lose it.

I've already met multiple patients who have been up here multiple times, and I can see why their readmission rate seems so high when they're trying to shove patients out the door as fast as possible. If I left tomorrow like they wanted, I'd have no real changes other than what my outpatient psych was already planning on doing. Also, I would have spent more time waiting in the ER than in the actual psych unit. UIHC needs to lose their reputation as a fantastic hospital ASAP if this is what they think good patient care looks like.

I can't help but wonder how many patients attempt or commit suicide after leaving here, because almost nothing about this unit actually helps with a psych crises. There's no group therapy, no problem solving, no coping skills taught. They basically want to change your meds a little, then kick you out the door before you even know if the changes will help. Gotta free up that bed so they can get more money from another patient I guess.

They also actively discourage patients who want to continue treatment in the actual inpatient psych unit, and are completely uninterested in consulting with other specialists for complex patients. UIHC, how are you supposed to be the hospital for complex patients if you refuse to meet their complex needs? I came here because I'm a narcoleptic patient who is suffering from severe psychiatric side effects from one of my meds, and no one in my area could help me. My family drove 2 hours to get me here, and I've had pushback from the people who are supposed to be helping me at every step of the way. It's a shame I have no other choice other than Mayo Clinic, because this experience has been so disappointing.

They get 3 stars because of the awesome security guards and unit nurses/CNAs, and because we get to use our technology. The unit staff have really worked to make me feel welcome and cared for, which I appreciate immensely. Today's providers helped make up for it too, but overall, I have been very disappointed by this hospital in general.

Hey I would like to leave a review about your worker Judas (early 20s) he told me he works at this university as a cleaner he then went on to make racist comments and begin to include suicidal encouragement in my mindset, i don’t think it is appropriate to have someone in your workplace, learning environment and others

How's possible to wait 11 hours in ER? 11 hours good lord. We waited and left. What kind of comments you write regarding this situation and what kind of answer (excuse) can you provide. Such a DISAPPOINTMENT. One of the best in USA. Maybe you should reconsider naming this place " one of the best ".

They get almost $20,000 from the insurance company and hound and harass a pensioner on a fixed income for the remaining $115.00 not covered. A greedy institution that only cares about the money.
