Valvoline Instant Oil Change reviews
20Would give you a 10, but you will never put the correct oil change interval on the stickers. Synthetic does not need to be changed every 3000 miles. My car goes 7500 and most will go 5000 between.
Ok the staff are very friendly and I was quoted around 100$ for an oil change of full synthetic but dropped the price 25$. Did a wiper blade replacement and I assumed the oil was changed. When the associate showed me the dipstick the oil DID NOT look that clean. It's my fault for not saying anything. I checked the oil and it looked brown. I had the oil changed again in my town in Minnesota and it's clear. Maybe the oil filter wasn't changed. I called and was told there was nothing they could do because it was done more than 2 weeks ago and they wouldn't have video on the job. I gave 1 star.
Very convenient to wait in car while they change oil. Not a long wait to pull in and get service.
Went in for a basic oil change on a 15 Honda Civic. They had cars in all three stalls and a small staff of two working them. The associate quickly came out to acknowledge my arrival and gave me a pretty accurate wait time of 25-30 minutes. I was happy to wait as I knew it would be quicker than leaving it at a dealership all day.
Once they got to my car, they provided a very clear run down of everything they will be doing as someone who never went to a Valvoline before. When checking the air in all of the tires they let me know that they could not get to my back passenger side due to how the valve lined up with the hubcap and explained where I could go if I wanted someone else to take a look at it.
During the service the technician talked through their various other services they offered without being pushy which was very appreciated.
I will be going here again and recommend it to others.
So this happened probably more than six months ago, but I am still a little salty about it. I waited in line there were three lanes going I waited for about 20 minutes before I got up and anybody acknowledged me. I told the guy that I needed a oil change and wondered if they could change out my driver side lightbulb to my car. First they said no they couldn’t change my light and then he quoted me about $100 for an oil change. I found that mine blowing because I have a Buick encore I have never spent more than $50 on an oil change. Then he said that he would check The headlight bulb. He did say that they could change it and they would charge me $125 for an oil change and change the lightbulb. Still told him I thought that was a little steep he said he would knock off $20. At this point in time I ate there was no way of me getting out of the line I wanna head and agreed to it. I felt very much taken advantage of because I’m a woman, And the headlight they put in was a lot dimmer than my other working one and it was put in crooked. So you can’t even tell that I have it on. Anyway, I will never go back to this location ever again and will think twice about going to Valvoline, since I think they take advantage of women.
They had me sit in the car while they changed my oil. They informed me my wipers were broken, and given that it was the beginning of fall, I wanted a new pair. Also my front blinkers were out of order. Everything was through informed consent, they told me the different rates, and all the pros and cons- no pressure. I sat back in my car, had a pleasant conversation with the gentleman working on my car and was in and out in 15 minutes top. They run a full diagnostic of the car, and ask you to turn on the brake lights, blinkers, etc. Recommended!
This place is a joke now. Came by yesterday on my lunch break and they were closed for being short staffed. The kid that greeted me said he had only worked there a week and 2 people just didn’t show up to work. An assistant manager and another technician from another location arrived. Good news, right? Wrong. Assistant manager walked in with fast food and went into the office to eat. Technician sat in his car and told the new guy “I still have 30 minutes on my lunch break. ” All while cars are being turned away. So I thought I’d try to come back today thinking maybe things would be better. Tried to call to make sure they were open. No one answered. Took a risk and drove by and saw they were taking cars. Pulled up to an empty bay and the assistant manager form the day prior hollered at me and told me to pull behind another car. They were still understaffed and only using two bays. The lack of work ethic these days is egregious. Probably won’t return to this location.
Quick and easy. Friendly staff (the guy that helped me even swapped out the coupon code I had for one that was a better deal!) They don’t pressure you into any of the services you don’t want which I really appreciate.
The skid plate under my Chrysler 300 was installed incorrectly (Backwards and upside down) and damaged the steering boots while getting an oil change in Clive IA while on vacation. I stopped at another Valvoline location and they documented and corrected the problem with the skid plate but the overall damage was already done. I filed a claim, but in the last 2 months nobody has ever contacted me even though I've called the claim center 5 different times now for updates. Today I was told that the franchise manager closed the claim and there is nothing I can do even though he and I have never spoke (because he won't return the messages left by the claims rep). I have been informed that Valvoline will not assist me now that the claim is closed, leaving me hung out to dry with little to no recourse.
Shawn went above and beyond to help me with my car battery, I will definitely come to Valvoline with future car issues! Customer service is great, super friendly and helpful so happy I can leave with a good running car again! Thanks guys!
Lana and Chad were incredibly friendly and helpful. They serviced my vehicle and explained exactly what my SUV needed to get me back on the road to Chicago. Highly recommend stopping in for your next oil change.
Called them up asked about the wait for an AC recharge on a Jetta. 30 minutes the guy says. Show up and they tell me they don't have anyone to work on it.
Cost to much for the service I paid 160. Oil change really.
Lots of the checkoff did not get check. " Oh we cant reach that, " really.
To much
Provided my own oil and oil filter, was denied the use of a valid coupon, and still paid $40 for only an oil change.
Just passing through on our way to colorado and we realized we needed an oil change- everyone here was so nice and of course they were quick too! Shout out to Seth and Kolby who helped us, thanks for being so nice!
Friendly and welcoming staff. However, after leaving my simple oil change, my Skid plate under the vehicle was not reattached properly and subsequently fell off on the highway going 70 mph. This is unacceptable and dangerous. I have not had a chance to check if any further damage has been done. However, a new skid plate runs $500 on my vehicle. Kindness unfortunately does not outweigh incompetence and safety!
They do great at a basic oil change, saves me from getting on the ground, and can always find a coupon on the website.
This is my 2nd visit to this location. Great first experience- great staff, customer service excellent!
2nd visit did not disappoint. Great staff!
Amazing Customer service. Definitely recommend to anyone.
I show up at 630 just for a simple oil change mind you i checked before coming there and when I get there supposedly out of all oil the guy tries to tell me I called wrong location when I come there all the time with my other car smh
The staff was extremely friendly. Seth and Tenley were very helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommend asking for Seth. 10/10 Great experience!
