Village Corner Deli reviews
16One of my favorite lunch spots to go to! The service is great, food is better, and you walk away full and satisfied. Hands down, best sandwiches in the QCA!
This place was amazing! Visited while in town for a seminar on a recommendation from someone who lives here. I would travel back just to eat another turkey Reuben. Great sized sandwiches that you can totally tell were made with love!
Best Sandwiches in the Quad Cities period! You can't go wrong with whatever you order!
Look closely at the menu, they have some awesome sandwiches here that are like no other! Look at the HOT sandwiches in particular!
Staff is nice, quick service, good food. They do have a blue lives matter flag inside which is strange to me but whatever.
We hired Village Corner Deli to cater our wedding rehearsal dinner and reception. Ross was so easy to work with and the food was delicious! They had a lot of options to choose from and we received a lot of compliments on all the foods, especially the meatballs! So good! Highly recommend them for any events you need catered!
I absolutely LOVE this restaurant! You have the BEST food and service! My hubby and I and our son ALWAYS have an excellent experience! And it doesn't take long either!
First time here didn't disappoint. Tried the #5 Cuban sandwich and it was amazing. Will be back.
The best deli in the Quad Cities hands down! Huge sandwiches with fresh ingredients! Everything Ive tried has been delicious! The Itailian stallion and the turkey Rueben are my favorites. Prices are more than fair for the quality and quantity!
*edited 7/4/23 - you HAVE to get the Cuban here! Best in the QC hands down - because of the meat!
This place truly is phenomenal. Fresh bread, authentic deli frontman, always steaming hot delicious food. The Philly cheesesteak is so rich and flavorful, it’s 100% satisfying to the very last bite! I believe they’d do anything for their customers. The management and staff, and even the customers - we all treat each other like family - which is nice and refreshing. Super happy to help support this local business!
Lots of sandwhiches to choose from. They have chili, soup, chips, Cole slaw, macaroni salad and more. Good prices, friendly staff.
Absolutely fantastic sandwiches. Terribly unwelcoming atmosphere. They have the “thin-blue line” flag hanging up and newsmax on all the time, which feels like they’re signaling something to a hardcore right-wing audience, but it makes me extremely uncomfortable. I don’t want a political agenda served with my food, from the left or the right.
The sandwiches are top tier QC. The service is good. The decor is problematic. People I’m friends with will not go. There is a “thin blue line” flag hanging prominently which alienates a bunch of people. A DPD flag would make more sense. Newsmax is playing 24/7. Not a good atmosphere for great sandwiches. Put sports on the TV and keep your fascist politics out of it.
Hands down, the best deli sandwich and service! Plenty of flavorful custom condiments. Excellent customer service! Haven’t found or made a sandwich that can compare yet.
I was recently recommended Village Corner Deli as a place that makes a good Cuban sandwich. As someone who loves a good Cubano, I resolved to stop in sometime soon. This Saturday, I made the trek from Bettendorf to give the sandwich a try.
After parking across the street, I walked over and entered Village Corner Deli. The place has the general appearance of an established business/building that has continued making improvements over time. The floors are new looking polished grey hardwood laminate and the ceilings are open with suspended dome lights through the counter area. The adjacent dining area has the same grey wood laminate floor with accompanying grey painted wood panel walls. A combination of accent lighting strips and florescent fixtures light this space, which is also decorated with a variety of pictures of Quad Cities landmarks hanging throughout.
I ordered a Cuban sandwich, the main crux of my trip to the deli. It came tor within 10 minutes of ordering. On the whole, it was a pretty good Cubano. The bread was tender, the roast pork and ham had distinct seasonings and textures, and the requisite pickles and mustard were present. The only thing a little off from a normal Cuban sandwich was the presence of pepper jack cheese, grilled onions and grilled bell peppers. While not really true to form for the common ingredients on this sandwich, none detracted from the experience. I actually enjoy the added texture from the vegetables.
I really like the Village of East Davenport, and this visit made me like the area even more! I'm looking forward to coming back here when it gets warmer, possibly to sit outside with a sandwich and take a trip over to the ice cream place across the street after. Thanks, Village Corner Deli!
