Voodoo Lounge Des Moines

Great club in Des Moines! Went for DJ raj and it was amazing! Great vibe and ambience.
However, BEWARE of the bartenders. They literally stole our champagne bottle and had an attitude about it. That was extremely upsetting.
Apart from that it’s a great place.

Nice night life! You enter the restaurant portion on the ground floor and then proceed to the dancing/club portion upstairs once inside. Drinks are expensive but that’s how they make money The club definitely gets very packed from like 11: 30PM and on. The music is basically dance remixes on modern pop and hip hop songs. There are active bouncers keeping an eye on things so I really appreciated the safety aspect!

They ran my card four extra times charging me random amounts of money, didn’t notice until I checked the next day. I only went up to the bar twice! Be very aware of this and ask for a receipt! Or only do cash. They charged random about of 30,10,9 and 2dollars like what costs 2 dollars at the bar!

Dress to impress more like discriminating against comfort and wasting my time. I would know there too good for my sweatpants when its below zero out and wouldn't let me and my boyfriend in when we just wanted to have a good time. Its to bad sense we drove 2 hours to get there. Hush was a way better time anyway.

Decent dance set up and scene, drinks are average for court

My friend was visiting me over the weekend from a different state and they automatically assumed her ID was fake and confiscated it. She had no luck confronting them, so I went to confront them myself they locked the doors well before closing and refused to open the door despite the line up of people outside at 1 am on a Saturday night. I will not only be telling my other friends and family to no longer visit Voodoo, but will also be expecting a refund for my friend’s ID.
