Walmart Auto Care Centers, Altoona IA

Had an appointment at 10 am to have a new set of tires put on. It's now 20 minutes until noon, still waiting. I asked if they knew how much longer it would be and the guy tells me well it's in the bay now. I said I can see that it's been sitting in the bay unattended for 45 minutes. It's Sunday mam Sunday is our busiest day. Not really sure what difference that makes. Why did I make an appointment if walk ins are being done first? So now nearly 2 hours later I'm still waiting. No apology nothing and my car is still sitting unattended in the bay. Definitely will go elsewhere next time.

Came in to get one tire changed.it was slow to get logged in and they told me it would be 2 hour wait.reluctantly i did and after 2 hours they told me it would be another 2 hours despite nobody else in the waiting lobby.fortunately i had the good since to leave this time and found someone else that fixed it right away.

We went in for an oil and filter change. These guys were great, and went beyond anything I have seen lately. They changed the oil, washed the windshield and vacuumed the floors. We were out in 20 minutes. The service reminds me of the service stations of the 50's where they had pride in their work. The cost was also less then I expected.

I went for a oil change and damaged my car interior and the window trim. Filing a claim with their insurance company. Very very disappointed. They admitted it wasn't like that when I got there. I would have made it no stars

I asked for a an oil change with ALL fluids checked & vacuum. $35.00 + tax got me 5 qts of oil/oil filter.tires were NOT CHECKED WITH GAUGE. Fluids were NOT fully topped off. Air filter NOT CHECKED. Vacuum vehicle HUH? NONE of these were performed until I LOOKED & walked back to shop TWICE. The elderly gentleman that just checks you in PERFORMED the service. NOT HIS JOB. The 20' something techs lacked candor when questioned about what WAS done as opposed to what they checked off AS COMPLETED. NOT GOOD FOR A REPEAT CUSTOMER!

I've used this car care center many times. They have always been straight forward and polite. They even vacuumed out the car for me when I had an oil change done. It was a nice surprise and really made my day.

Me and my family were heading back to illinois from Kansas and my mom boyfriend car has been giving us trouble the whole trip, we had to rig up a hotwire on it for it to start cause the starter kept blowing fuses so when we got that figured out, we stop at Altoona Iowa Walmart auto center to change a tire on his car that had been flat for a awhile and they said they couldn't fix the tire because the ignition system was bypassed to start the car and called it non functioning and just very very very very very poor service, do not recommend this, then they said they would change the tire if my mom's boyfriend takes the tire off of it just so they don't have to deal with the car and might I say they didn't borrow us a jack we had to buy one and then buy the tire on top of that and also on top of that it was pouring rain and they were inside just watching him on the ground outside in the rain doing the work himself, still have 300 miles to go

Would sell me a tires but wouldn't put it on the rims because tire guy went home early yet tire/service center was open still

Always helpful and good prices hard working shop they take good care of your car and make sure the job is done right

The worst customer service ever! I dealt with 2 people, both equally rude. No one was pleasant or even cracked a partial smile. I got there at 6: 20 on a spare tire but had called beforehand to make sure they had my tire in stock. I walked by the "techs" and waited at the counter for about 20 minutes. One of the techs had to find the cashier before even asking if he could help anyone. Then once it was my turn I told him what i needed, he sent me back out to the garage to ask a tech. The tech said they were closed now. (6: 45) I reminded him that he had seen me walk in over 20 minutes ago. He continued say they were closed now so couldn't do anything for me. Not only did he have 15 minutes to pop a tire on but the fact that I was there 40 minutes before close! They should've gotten me taken care of.

Great job on my car! I appreciated the quick service due to the fact I was heading out of town that same day.

Stopped in for an oil change. With two cars in line ahead of me they said it would be a 45 minute wait. Returned to the auto center one hour later thinking my car would be almost done and they hadn't even started on it and told me it would be another hour more. If they would have been more realistic with the time frame up front I would have gone somewhere else for an oil change. Poor customer service all around.

Slow and shoddy. I missed a day of work because my car wouldn't start. Turned out to be a loose cable from having them install a new battery for me.

This guy's have always done a fantastic job with any services they've performed on my car whether it's rotating the tires or putting new ones on or changing the oil and air filters. Very fast and friendly service, I've never been disappointed!

What a joke! Spent 25 minutes trying to call the Tire Shop and NO ONE answers the phone! I understand that they may be busy but someone can pick up a phone. Totally unacceptable!

Not the fastest oil change however the service and the care they showed my car was top notch. I will be back.
