My review is for the building experience with Mark. The quality of the work was excellent. Communication was non-existent. It was very difficult to get ahold of anyone. Often times things showed up on the house without us having any chance to choose or discuss our options. But the thing we lost the most sleep over, was not having any idea of the cost. He practically refused to give us actually prices of anything until the entire project was done. So we had no idea of knowing where we were with the budget. We ended up approx. 20 % over budget without being offered any actually numbers. If the house is completed already and or you don't want to make any decisions yourself, then you will get a wonderful home.

We are so happy with the home that Mark built us. It was our first time going the custom builder route and Mark was there to help guide or answer the million questions we had.

There are no hidden costs or misleading information, he has great relationships with his suppliers and contractors. Everyone was extremely helpful, professional, flexible and where to provide any advice when needed. Building a house let a lone a custom home can be overwhelming and we never felt that with Mark’s team helping us.

It’s been over a year since we moved into our home and we’ve had 1 very small issue that needed some attention. It was fixed fast and not just a bandaid fix.

Mark built our home like he was building his own. And he truly gets to know you; you’re not just his next customer or the 40th home he has active at the time. He truly cares about your home. We’ve heard many of times “oh wow, our builder didn’t do that” or “we can’t get ahold of our builder” or “we are fighting with our builder whether something needs fixed under warranty”. That’s never been the case with Mark.

We recommend him over and over again.

We built a custom home with Mark in 2018-2019 and are very pleased. He worked with us to find a floor plan we loved for our forever home. We've had a few questions since we moved in and he is always quick with a response and we know if anything were to go wrong (which there hasn't been), he would fix it. Very happy we chose Mark to build our home!

Mark will take care of you. If you have any concerns throughout the process he will make sure you understand everything. He went the extra mile to secure our lot.which was part of a much bigger plot of land and the seller originally wasn't willing to break it up. If it wasn't for him going to bat for us we would have settled for something less.

He also allows you to do your own work or select your own sub contractors if you want. You can always go with his preferred contractors to streamline it if you prefer. It's truly a personal experience.

If you want to work with a builder who will actually work around what you want.and not give you a cookie cutter home with very few choices. Mark is your guy.

We built with Mark and had a great experience. He did a one year follow up to make sure everything was how we expected it to be. We will definitely build again with Mark. We found our custom house plan the first day we sat down with him and broke ground within a few weeks. Very professional, prompt and straight forward.

We are enjoying our new home from Welcome Homes. This is the second custom we have had built. The first, by a different builder, although beautiful, was not a quality build. This was not our experience with Welcome Homes! The builder was easy to work with, and has taken care of any issues we had after moving in. So glad we decided to go with Mark as our builder!

We have built 2 homes with Welcome Homes. I had my own ideas for a floor plan and Mark was very patient with us as we drew them out. His attention to detail is 2nd to none! I would highly recommend Welcome Home as the builder to go to.

The main reason we chose Mark to build our house was because he was building most of the houses in our subdivision. We came to our first meeting with our own plans we had made and Mark was very open minded and completely willing to let us run with our vision which helped ease a lot of the anxiety we were feeling starting this project. Through the whole process he allowed my husband and I to be pretty hands on and allowed us to choose some of the contractors that were our friends/family. He was always available when we had questions or concerns and never made us feel like he didn’t have time for us. Mark truly made our first time home building experience enjoyable and we would definitely use him again should we ever build another house. If you want a nice, down to earth guy with a ton of knowledge he would be a great choice!

We love our custom build. Mark did a great job finding a floorplan that fit our needs and we have had no problems in the 3 years we have lived in it.

In fact we are considering building a larger home with Mark.

Welcome Home? More in line with "Welcome to your brand new fixer upper. " I've purchased a new construction home before and it wasn't perfect, but there was a certain follow through from the builder and correction to mistakes that made it an acceptable experience. Not the case with Welcome Homes Inc. When reaching out to the builder to get help fixing issues all we ever get in return was enough words to get him out of the conversation, or, "here are some phone numbers, I can't keep track of everything. " He did finally get me in touch with the painters who came back and did a good job the second time, despite us being in fear for their health (but that's another review). Nothing else in the pictures has been addressed. Not pictured is a quarter inch gap between the living room window and the frame. I sent him a video last winter showing the below freezing breeze coming through anytime the wind was out of the north.you'd think he'd be keen on getting it fixed, but no, again not the case.

For a while now I've thought posting a review like this would be too aggressive and I need to give Welcome Homes another chance, but after talking to some of the other home buyers in the area I'm more concerned that this isn't enough.

There is a true lack of attention to detail and communication going on here and I won't be a return customer. If they allow all of these surface issues to happen, how can I be certain the home is even structurally sound, it's scary to think about.
