West Des Moines Marriott

It was a good value for the price. I felt like the staff could have been a bit more knowledgeable. The rooms were very nice and parking was easy.

Great hotel and rooms - Staff was great - Restaurant on property so I didn’t have to drive or Uber anywhere. Easy access off I-80 - Great workout room

One of our beds had bright, red drops and smears of blood on the sheets and comforter. The front desk person who I spoke with about the unfortunate bed sheet situation was friendly and attentive. The house keeper who was sent to change our sheets was extremely rude and blamed me for not noticing the dirty sheets when I first checked in. I had to ask for his name twice before he gave it to me. Everything else was great, but that one interaction with the house keeper ruined my entire stay. Do better Marriott.

My room fridge was on, but warm At 5: 30 AM, The shower started warm in the hot setting, and 2 minutes into my shower, I took a cold shower. I might expect this from a Motel 6, or a Super 8, but a Marriott charging over $120 a night, I shouldn't have to take a cold shower.

Very comfy beds, super clean room, huge tv with Netflix anf other streaming options (to use your own accounts). Hotel staff was awesome and the restaurant/bar has great food and drinks snd had the friendliest bar tenders. Would def stay again.

Great place. Cleanliness is impeccable. Service is amazing. Hotel has a few small maintenance issues to address, but it is normal in an older hotel.

The air did not work in our room. They tried to clean it out but not one maintenance person working. I asked if it didn’t cool down in a few hours, if we could switch rooms. They told me “ yes, we will have a couple options for you”
Then we left to go to mall and came back. Room hotter than even before. So I asked about us switching rooms, and then informed that they are completely sold out and no other rooms available. We will not stay here again. Also, there is only one watching machine so if you plan to stay here for a length or time or for any sort of tournament- chances are you won’t get to use the washing machine. Very disappointed.
They did give us a fan, but when paying for a room I should be comfortable and not sitting and sweating. Gross.
3 fans and still miserable!

I was in Des Moines for a conference. The room was recently updated and I got a wonderful night sleep both nights after two days of packed in a conference.

Had a terrible experience at another hotel nearby and moved to this location. I couldn't have asked for a better service experience! All of the staff were friendly and went the extra mile to accommodate us during our stay! This is what the hospitality industry should look like. Thank you so much!

Our room had an extremely strong musty/moldy smell. If you are sensitive to mold at all don’t stay here.

Beautiful lobby and nice front desk staff. Rooms were roomy and comfortable. Very clean. Beds were comfy. Bathroom was beautiful and we loved the shower. AC worked ok until the morning we were checking out. Ice maker was convenient. Nice location with great shopping nearby. Bar was spendy. Laundry room needs to be bigger. 1 washer and 1 dryer for a hotel this large is not accommodating at all. Pool was great. The kids loved it.

We had an event a couple of weeks ago and we had terrible service. Receptionist was so rude. They will charge you a high fee for ANY miscellaneous items that you ask for and NOT tell you until they send you the bill. Don’t recommend having any events here!

I had actually made reservations at the wrong hotel for my business event, but these folks helped me cancel that one and make a new one here. Great room. Same price. Super nice and helpful staff. I would certainly return again. Nice room. Nice shower. Comfy bed. Big TV. Comfy couch. Almost as good as home as far as I'm concerned.

DO NOT stay front 4+ rms in this motel 1st - third floor.
Alarm beeps from 3am on. Coming from nearby room or below. Call Steve- looks into, still beeping at 520am. Slept w pilo over head.

The room was comfortable and clean. The hotel is under renovation, I thought I had a renovated room turns out I didn't can't wait to see the finish product.

Small conference room. Hors d'oeuvres were served by waiters / waitresses that didn't serve to everyone. Only one person serving at each of the bars. We had our salads and one line of tables wasn't served bread. This hotel wasn't ready for our company to have a 6 hour meeting.
