Decent place to live but management is poor. So far I’ve been overcharged on utilities and had to get a refund for more than half of what they charged me. Now they are “looking into” why I’m being charged so much extra but have yet to get back to me with an answer after a month. Also was told when I signed the lease that I could install a garage opener if I got a garage stall. Went to install one and there is no electric outlet to connect it to so the garage is worthless to me. I was also told when applying for the apartment that the gym was going to be 24/7 and maintenance just needed to get the locks done and then we’d get keys. It’s been 4 months and management has no update. This was a huge reason I chose Windsor on the River. When my partner and I moved in our AC didn’t work and the apartment got extremely hot. We put in a maintenance request and when maintenance came he told us it hadn’t worked since before we moved in and he found it very hard to work in our apartment getting it ready for us because it was so hot. When we asked about it getting fixed he said that management was well aware but they didn’t want to do anything about it until the spring so we were SOL. My friend warned me about this place but I didn’t want it to be true. My mistake. Good apartments but management is useless and untrustworthy.

The office and all maintenance staff have been very nice to me. You never have to worry about ice or snow in the winter. Each building has a secure entrance in front and back which helps me feel safer. They love dogs here and mine is very happy.

Going on 10 years. Getting older. Elevator freezes up on the third floor and mail gets stolen. Many others are much worse. Please Pray about this winter.

I have been in the complex about 4 months. First impressions of apartment living here is ok. Neighborhood like surroundings with big trees and rolling hills. Apartment is a bit dated in carpets, blinds, and such, but functional. I live near clubhouse which has a great pool for the summer. Off-street parking is a bit tough; I have seen two vehicles that are in the lot that haven't been moved since I've been there. Probably abandoned. Responses to maintenance is the most disappointing. Averaging 2-3 weeks for remedies, and there is no correspondence for to anticipate work to be completed. I usually have to contact office to initiate activity and urgency. My AC unit has been out since 9/25/2023 and still no work completed. I hope it works come Spring next year! Overall, pretty average. Good value for the money but be patient on repairs.

Do not move here. Your vehicle is not safe. Do not opt in for the underground parking as your vehicle will get vandalized and you will still be forced to pay for the parking there. Do not make the same mistake I made. There are no cameras in the underground parking either.

We just moved in about two weeks ago. So far we have absolutely been loving our new apartment. We love the trees and the surrounding lake/river/parks/boat homes. Can't wait to see the surrounding area in Autumn. Chelsea in the office has been very accommodating to our needs and our wants and was prompt with questions and inquiries. Building we live in is very pet friendly and our neighbors welcomed us which was very nice. Felt like a community. Definitely would recommend moving here! I hope we continue to love living at Windsor!

I became a resident at this property in april 2022, not only did the apartment have bed bugs, as well as racoons living in the ceiling. Not to mention the recent shooting in my building; resulting in the tenant below me becoming deceased. None of this information being passed on by the office. Nor any outreached by management to help aid with the distress of this tragic event. As well as lack of communication from the office about re upping the lease. Many others feel the same, and have also been treated very poorly, resulting in many tenants hastily moving out. I also did not appreciate the attitude I was given while trying to turn in my keys as my lease was up. I feel very disrespect and belittle by this management company. I sincerely hope others read this review before signing for their own safety and comfort.

I have lived at Windsor since July 2022 and everyday has been a pleasant one. The office staff send you text updates about maintenance happening on the property or in your building, they clear the roads during the winter time, and just much more. A great place to call homed.

I don’t want to leave a poor review to hurt the reputation of the complex. But I would like to share my experience with others so they don’t run into the same issue. I lived at Windsor for a year with no problems as the tenant (as far as I know). I decided to resign in a different unit, where I was promised a free month by the girl showing me the unit. I get contacted by the office a week after I move in stating I was late on rent, and that I do not get the free month because “I was a previous tenant”. The staff hasn’t been very helpful about the situation and the property manager is rude a majority of the time you are in there, as many other comments state. Not a big deal, but staff should be trained properly to know and say the correct things so people can make appropriate decisions about their lease and where they want to live. Again, not wanting to tarnish the place. I want those who are thinking about making decisions to live here to be very weary about your decisions Overall, it isn’t a bad building or apartment. However, your tenants are the reason you have a job, you’d think you would want to treat them better.

Ok let’s just start here…their staff is in a constant rotation…the current staff is wishy washy…either they’re rude or doesn’t know what’s going on…the maintenance requests gets resolved SLOW AS FXCK!
They give no follow through of what’s going to happen, when’s it’s gonna happen…they just pop up randomly. While living there I still had holes, discoloration and spackling peeling on my ceiling that has been brought to the staffs attention on numerous occasions…nothing.

Update June 2022: I brought the attention to my air conditioning unit still running when it’s turned to “Off”…My kitchen vent is still broken which birds and other animals have found their way into…the toilet was constantly running and yet still no response from maintenance or property management. It’s very disappointing knowing that I pay all this money to live somewhere and they don’t follow through with anything.

My experience with this realtor was not delightful today I did my application process and when I arrived there after 1 days of it being process I was told that I had 2 eviction on my public records which I got a copy of and it shows no evictions on my record at all wow so not only was I lied to but I found out that there's a lot of false information on my record that will get expunged but overall I can't say much never viewed the property at all I just believe that my family and I aren't wanted there it's very discriminatory and I Thank GOD I got my $50 application fee back

I was very grateful and appreciative for Chelsea and Kayla's help in answering questions and making this transition easier for me. They were always very helpful and prompt in communicating whether it was by phone, email or text.

Upon arrival at my apartment I was greeted by 3 maintenance workers finishing things up. They too were helpful in answering questions. They changed my furnace filter that was black, assured me that they would get a bedroom door, said they vacuumed the kitchen cupboards, plugged in the stove and fridge for me and replaced the shower curtain rod.

Reality is. This apartment was not ready to be moved into. The kitchen cupboards and drawers were so sticky and food particles everywhere. Kitchen drawers are also not in good shape…bottoms falling out, cracked plastic slides. The bathroom was very filthy. Obvious urine and feces in, on, and around the toilet.

To top it all off, I have had two maintenance requests in on the first two days due to the Intercom system not functioning, and the freezer not keeping temp, resulting in all of my food thawing.

My experience with the employees in the beginning gave me so much hope for the complex, but the amount of work I've put in to make the apartment up to an acceptable living condition has left me disappointed. I am hopeful they will use this review to consider their methods/guidelines when creating a 'move-in ready' standard.

I chose this area because of the trees and nature all around, Robbins Lake Park and Ellis Park…it's beautiful and very serene. Fingers crossed I made the right decision!

Extremely rude staff, especially Chelsea S. Would never rent from this place based on how unprofessional she was. Was told there were two apartments currently available and another available half way through the month. Just for her to tell me that there aren’t an apartments available until the end of the month and then look at her coworker and laugh. I tried multiple times to call and set up a tour before hand and the phones had been shut off just for her to say “well do you want to call right now” just for me to watch her turn the phones back on and the call to go through. And then again look at her coworker and laugh. Terrible terrible customer service, hopefully she gets some training on how to talk to people willing to spend a lot of money at her place of employment.

I love living at Windsor on the River. Beautiful wooded surroundings, fall is gorgeous here. Office staff is so busy, yet they keep working hard for us and do it with a smile.
Rent is reasonable for the amenities offered. And my apartment is fully updated, it’s everything I could ask for.
Pool, garages, gym, and being next to the Cedar River with its picnic areas, grills for cooking out, and bike path.
The tenants are quiet, I feel very safe here. I’ve only met good people.
