DMOS is an excellent orthopedic and spine specialist clinic. Dr. Ries is very professional, to the point. He lays out the options and procedures and pro's and con's. He has a very personable demeanor and friendly and makes you feel comfortable through the complete procedure. He has a awesome and friendly staff. I had ALIF surgery on my S1-l5 lumbar. After physical therapy, injections and medications nothing was working to help the sciatica and lwr back pain. I originally herniated that particular disc four years ago and because of normal daily activities and work just couldn't get it to heal. I knew DMOS was an excellent orthopedic clinic to help from previous experience and each time lucky to have a very competent and professional doctor like Dr. Ries. I'm three weeks post surgery, mostly pain free as far as the sciatica and minimal pain in lwr back. I'm easily walking a half mile daily and mostly pain free. As a veteran I would just like to let other veterans know that if your having similar issues or concerns please have your provider consult you to care in the community and request DMOS and if it's spine related request Dr. Zachary Ries as you will not be disappointed and why not have the best
be involved in you health care!

Doctor Ries and his staff were great in explaining what to expect during the ALIF surgery as well as after it. He took time to answer all my questions and listened to my concerns and was able to put me at ease by answering my questions and providing input.

Dr Ries was so informative and talked to me about the possible surgical intervention, yet never made me feel pressured in any way. He was kind and very easy to talk to. He is a great Doctor.

Dr. Reis is very professional and thorough and conservative in his approach to spine surgery. I know he does great work in the OR but knowing when not to recommend surgery is also important, and he was thorough and direct in the work up and advice he gave me. I was very impressed.

I went in for post op care to have my staples removed. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Dr Ries and his staff took the time to answer all of my questions very patiently and knowledgeably. The visit didn't take long, I didn't have to wait long and they were very helpful in setting up my next appointment. They went out of their way to make sure it was an easy process for me.

Dr. Reis and his staff were great! Very professional and friendly! Not to mention my back feels amazing and I would definitely recommend DMOS for your back surgery!

Doctor Ries was great. He explained things very well. He was professional and personal all at the same time. He and his staff are great. Would recommend them to anyone. Nice to see that there are doctors out there like this.

I'm providing this review after a couple of years in case anyone is curious about more long term results.

In late 2020, Dr. Ries repaired a ruptured disc in my lower back. He was very clear and responsive throughout the process, from the initial appointment up to the surgery and post-op, answering any questions I had and giving me various options on how to treat the issue. About 4 months post-op was when I felt like I was back to "normal", and I have been back to doing endurance sports I enjoy since then, nearly two years at this point. Plus, I'm able to sleep comfortably again! I do not regret my choice to go through surgery, and I'm thankful I had such a great ortho to help.

Dr. Ries explained the procedure so that I could understand. He is extremely smart and knows what he is doing. He had empathy for me.
