So I had talked to few other attorneys and everyone I talked to scared me about this whole divorce process. Even though it was an uncontested divorce but I felt like all of the other attorneys wanted to make their money and more interested in dragging this for their own gain. Then I found Barrow Brown and Carington online and talked to Jennifer first about out of Indianapolis. Then she directed me to Jeremy in their Kentucky office and we discussed the whole process. They both made me feel comfortable about this whole process and it only took me an hour to sign up the papers and get this process started. From started to finish Jeremy stayed in touch with me on almost daily basis and got the paperwork ready. Jeremy was really prompt about returning my calls in timely manner and answer all of the questions and concerns I had. I hope that I would never have to use their services for divorce but I won’t think twice about hiring them for all of the other services they offer. They were extremely easy to work with one my uncontested divorce. I was told by other law firms that I would have to pay very steep fees since my ex was out of state. I had gotten quotes as high as $4000 for a simple uncontested filing. Needless to say Barrow Brown was a fraction of that price. However service did not suffer. Even when my ex started to drag her feet, they hung in and helped me get it done. After she signed her part the divorce was finalized in record time. I'm regular blue collar working man. I went to a discount divorce attorney with the foolish assumption that my divorce would be simple and I could save some money. That attorney butchered my case and I ended up losing in court after 2 years of fighting. My ex was awarded over $130,000 and her attorney fees! In a panic I came to Barrow and Brown to help me appeal that ridiculous judgement. Susan Martin was assigned and amazing from our first phone call. She was easy to contact, kept me updated and willing to explain every step and what my options were. Now, in just three short months Susan brokered negotiations with my ex-wifes attorney and we signed an agreement that I can live with. My only regret, is that I didn't go to Barrow and Brown first. The moral of that story is, when hiring an attorney, you get what you pay for. Personally, I hope to never need their services again but if I do, I wouldn't hesitate for a second to contact them.
