Leeanna was my lawyer in family court and she was absolutely awesome. She told me when to keep my mouth shut so I wouldn't say anything dumb to the judge, which I would have and almost did a few times. She kept me from saying too much as not to inform the other party to anything they did bot need to know. I am so thankful she was there for me.

LeAnna Dowan a like an attack Pitbull in the court room. She’s feisty controlling and one of the most assertive women I’ve ever met. She controls the situation and she lets you know it. But here results are spot on.

Used for EPO case with allegations of child abuse that were completely out of line. An angry ex boyfriend’s ex wife retailed when he has gotten an EPO on her new boyfriend after kids said he hit them. She only wanted to still the pot and counter attack on bogus claims.

Dowan shut that woman down. Made her stuffer on her words and discredited everything’s she said. She was quick to object and defend.

Dowan knows the laws and she loves to flaunt it.

Everything seemed like things were going well then we were told to find another attorney at the last minute. Just felt like we went from family to not important. In the end it’s just business.

Worst lawyer ever, did not fight for me and screwed up my paperwork, causing a huge headache.

Honestly, I really wish I could give her no stars. 10 years later and it still rankles that she did not fight for me, because she felt I was not worth fighting for due to my life choices. I truly hope that LeAnna has learned some compassion in the intervening years, but let me assure you that she will never have a fan in me.

I don't see a way to reply to that response from the owner, but 10 years too late, people. I also remarried and had a different last name at the time I used the firm. Fire LeAnna, that's how you could make it good.

To be frank I felt like this office overcharged me for crazy fees such as emails and phone calls. On top of that the attorney did not even seek out my best interests. She never checked the other spouses property and bank balances or assets. As a result, I came out at the short end of the stick. I had to pay a bogus amount of money for poor quality service. They are incompetent and can’t even type up the paperwork correctly. There were so many typographical errors. I wish I had hired somebody else. Would not recommend them to people who want a fair divorce case.

I was paying her to handle a bogus EPO and my divorce she said she had the EPO cover it was dismissed that was supposed to have been $700 to cover that I had paid her $1,950 toward my divorce I got locked up and the BPO help me in in jail for over a day now it shows up on my record that it was never dismissed like she said and she dropped me as a client because I missed the payment on the day after I got locked up nothing but a two-faced law firm Nick Pearl is better

I petitioned the Hardin County Division Of Child Support to decrease my child support after one of my two children had turned 18 and had graduated from high school. I received papers from the Division of Child Support that had calculated my order of child support for TWO children. I called the Division asking why is was calculated for both children when one was past 18, would be 19 before my court date, and a high school graduate. I was told that I would have to pay child support for BOTH children until BOTH were 18 years of age and graduated from high school. She even went on to tell me that was their policy unless the children were three or more years apart. I researched constantly to disprove her statement but found one source that backed their statement. I conceded that was what I would have to do until I called the Dowan Law Office and was assigned to Ms. Meagan Carek. I was apprehensive after looking up her history and seeing that she had only been practicing law for about two years but I called and I told her my situation. She said they were incorrect but she would contact the Division of Child Support and get all the info. She said she didn't want me to pay for her services if she couldn't help me. Not long afterwards Ms. Carek called back stating she spoke with the division, they recognized their mistake, and they would recalculate my order of child support. That dropped my order of child support by over $200.00 a month! Ms Carek even stated that she didn't believe I would need her services any further but that I was able to continue with her if I felt I needed more assurance. Most of all Ms Carek didn't charge me a dime! If I ever need legal help in the future Dowan Law Office is the first place I call and I suggest anyone and everyone else do the same. Thanks Ms Carek for you help. I couldn't have hoped for a better experience.
