Porter Dental & Braces reviews
14Do you want your children to be afraid of dentists? Take them there, they are not professionals
Do NOT get your or your child’s wisdom teeth removed here, I asked for sedation or at least the twilight sedation which was denied, the oral surgeon said “nope you don’t need it”. During the procedure I was wide awake and heard and felt everything pretty much because it was not completely numb.they kept pushing my head back to the point it kept going off the head rest & they just kept drilling, and yelled at me multiple times to stay still. I was having a panic attack and crying the entire time and I kept trying to ask them to stop so I could take a break (because I had all 4 removed) and they did not listen, I was making noises trying to get their attention which I feel like made them rush through everything as well. I was still crying after all of this with a gauze in my mouth and the nurse (I don’t know what they’re called in the dental field) rushed me out of the room.
I’ve never had a bad experience with teeth cleanings and making appointments here, the front desk people are super nice but after this I’m never letting these people come anywhere near my mouth again.definitely lost trust in them & every other dentist after this experience but I’m sure there’s better out there
Worst dentists/orthodontist place ever they put old bite brakes that weren't molded into my bottom teeth correctly it always cutted my tongue, which made me speak like I was a foreign and had a lisp
Doctor Lin was amazing, he explained everything to me clearly, gave me numerous options for how to aid the health of my teeth, and was just an all around great guy. Thank you Doctor Lin and portal dental.
I’m not sure which doctor it was but my experience was not good. Unfortunately the work that was done on my tooth went badly and I ended up having to go through a bunch of pain and suffering as well as missing work. Had to get a root canal and a crown do to the bad work that was done.
Just had a visit at Porter Dental. My 6 year old son got 2 Crocs Charms. One is a “Cavity Free Kid” charm. It made his day. Dr. Lin is the best.
WOW. Had a great visit earlier this week. Dr. Lin is the best. He is very kind and professional with our little ones, who always cried when seeing other clinicians.
Coming back for sure.
Note: He will not rush through the process and explain everything to you. Little ones know what to expect and liked him sooooooooo much.
The customer service is terrible. I arrived 40 minutes before my appointment. I signed up and thought it would be a while, but it didn't. I'm 35 minutes late. That means that I was 1: 15 since I registered. I approached on 2 occasions to ask how many were left to pass and the first time they said that it was the next one, but it was not like that. I kept waiting and the second time I asked the person at the desk offered me another appointment after waiting so long. The service is unfortunate.
Very bad service, my daughter had an appointment at 10: 00 am and it's 12 and they don't even call her because the surgeon is late. They take many appointments and they can't keep up.
They cancel your appointments for being 5 mins late. Ended up going to a new dentist and they missed that my one tooth had an abscess and required a root canal. Highly don’t recommend this place!
Dr. John Choi and Kellie and Belinda were absolutely amazing with both of my daughters who are always extra anxious when having dental work done. They were super patient and gave them needed breaks and made sure they were okay through out the entire visit. If they could work with them everytime we visited Portal Dental we would love it! Thank you all very much for your patience on a day when you were working short staffed, because if we didnt know you were short staffed we wouldnt have known because you still gave exceptional care!
Good for kids. But not kids with illness or disabilities as mine always has issues. Not good for adults either.
I went in for my first ever appointment with them and they took XRays and talked to me for a minute about my dental history. Then without another word one of the white coats lead me to the front desk. I asked several of the ladies at the front desk what was going on and they ignored me. I went to my car and cried. Everybody in the place was getting work done and they just put me out like garbage. Horrible.
When you first walk in you will be welcome with a very nasty and dirty carpet in the waiting room.you better look for a different place. I don't recommend this place to anyone. Really bad costumer service. They take way too long for something simple. And inside the floor are very dirty and smells really bad and bathroom is always dirty. And I almost forget to said that the reception the front desk personal they all speak Spanish and I don't understand why they don't wanna help the the people that don't speak good English sad but true. The equipment in the back rooms are al rusted and think for a second all that is going inside of your mouth. And i saw a doctor doing a cleaning and them doing another person without changing he's gloves.
