Blue Door has embraced an unusual new platform where ordering and paying is done entirely on your phone. This caused lots of confusion among my party of 3, although waitstaff was very helpful and patient with us.
My chicken sandwich wasn't very good. It was too heavily fried and impossible to eat with clean hands. Would have appreciated a non-fried option for sides as well.

Really enjoyed the Blue Door Pub. I was really impressed with their ordering process inside the restaurant. They explained things to us, helped us order and LITERALLY the food and drinks showed up within minutes. The burger was simply delicious. I am going back this weekend.

I used to love this place, I came more regularly pre covid. I decided it was time to give it another try, and it was disappointing. The cooks do not know how to properly cook chicken wings. The first batch was raw in the center, the second batch was way over cooked.

Love having this place in the neighborhood.
Cozy place with great burgers, great beer selection, and the staff are always friendly. Had a mixup with a to-go order and the bartender went above and beyond to correct it. Definately a must try!

Was visiting Minneapolis for a friend's wedding and he said we were going to this place for burgers. I went and had a Bacon Blucy and it was great. The fries that came with it were also tops.

I also had a "Dad's root beer" which was nice

Blue Door - Longfellow is a part of a small chain of pubs that has managed to maintain the atmosphere of a neighborhood place. It can get crowded, but, post pandemic, it has been easy to find spaced seating if you go early on a weekday.

They have a limited menu but it is all good - especially the Bluecy, Blue Doors version of the Jucy Lucy (different spellings exist). I also want to mention the Chicken Wings.hmmmmm!

Um, absolutely delicious, kind/quick service, great burgers, cold beer, and lots of interesting stuff to look at whilst you eat.

Cool local restaurant and bar. Food was very good. Did not like paying. 50 cents for BBQ sauce. Great beer selection.

Really good restaurant with fun and imaginative burgers! Try a burger with peanut butter or ghost pepper for a little fun. The prices are pretty reasonable for the amount of food and how trendy this place is. I miss the Selby Ave location as that was my favorite and felt more quaint, but this location and Como Ave are also really good choices. Fun atmosphere, but because it is so well loved be prepared for a substantial wait at peak times,

I enjoy the rotating mix of craft beers they bring in. The Cease & Desist is a great go-to burger and the Longfellow is a fun try if you like goat cheese! At the very least, I’d recommend trying a plate of the deep fried green beans, most people who say they don’t like beans end up finishing the basket.

Great food. Good selection. Order yourself at the table, on your phone. Very little interaction needed with staff! Nice!

This is an okay spot. You can tell that it's pretty popular as there were lots of young vibrant people there when I went. I waited about 15 mins to be seated. The host was nice and we were offered a drink menu while waiting, so that was nice. The one thing that I didn't like about this place and the main reason for the 3 star rating, is their food ordering system. You have to use your smartphone to scan a QR code to access their menu and order food. The idea of that is cool and kind of a smart business move on THIER part, but as a professional diner and someone who appreciates the "old school" or traditional dining experience, I didn't like that at all. It feels as though that idea benefits them way more than the diners. Although the staff were very friendly, it felt as though they wanted nothing to do with us. And because this way of ordering is newer, my BFF and I sat at our table for like 15 mins trying to figure it all out. Once we did, our food/drinks came at different times and they were being served by random staff. Because of this, I think this restaurant limits itself to a specific type of crowd. If my parents wanted to dine there they couldn't bc of their ordering system. If my phone was dead, I can't go there bc of their ordering system, if my camera didn't work I can't go there bc of their ordering system, if my phone was not a phone that scanned QR codes, guess what? I can't go there, bc of their ordering system. ‍️ I can see that they've clearly made a statement without making a statement. "Do not come here if you do not know how to use a smartphone and/or expect a traditional dining experience, because we're not that. " I think it would be better if, they could perhaps add a few tables where there are ATCUAL servers who take orders. Other than that, the food was good, the place was clean, and there were lots of beers to choose from! I also liked the vibe of the restaurant, it was a perfect spot [for my BFF and I] to talk, chill, and eat food!

Food was good. Got the chicken wings and they were cooked perfect. However, they have moved to not only viewing menu using QR scan (which is fine), to also having to order and pay thru your phone. I do not support any restaurant going to this system. I don't provide my credit card number to a 3rd party app. Not good.

Friendly service, great burgers and very quick ordering through the QR code from our table. Just hope this doesn't mean servers aren't still making the money they should. But we loved this place and the atmosphere was chill. Looking forward to another visit and some more delicious food.

This spot definitely is not what it used to be. You scan the QR code and order everything at the table. The nuggets came out over-dressed, we ordered a burger with bacon on it, didn't get any bacon, there was barely any cheese inside the burger, fries were not much to rave about. None of this is an issue, except for no one came by to ask us if we needed anything or to see how things were after our food was dropped off. Leading us to having a not so pleasant experience, especially for the price point. Probably will not be returning to this one.

Lunch was good. I didn't see a gluten free option for hamburger buns on their online menu. The burger was still really good. I also really liked the nacho totchos. Cute pub with some high back booths.

We had the hand cut fries and also the Frog Town nuggets they were cooked in peanut sauce and hoisin sauce. FANTASTIC FOOD.

Food was good, really only had appetizers but the curds were out of this world! Portions were crazy big too which was nice!

Cons were, if you're going to have guests order through the QR codes, please make sure the connection in the restaurant actually enables us to do it in a timely manner without worry that we can load it. I'd rather do QR and online ordering for the safety of the staff esp.during COVID, but it was annoying with all the waiting i had to do just to order a drink.

One of my favorite spots in the city for sure. While I can't attest to who actually invented the Juicy Lucy, they make plenty of them that are very delicious. I appreciate the menu that has about a dozen different Lucy's with varying flavors and of course the Blucy of the month as well. Other menu options are solid such as wings, fries with the house seasonings, tots, jalapeno poppers and more (though I wish they had onion rings). Beer selection is good, mostly local with some out of town stuff too. They've also upped their outdoor area too. Very good choice if you're in the area or want a stuffed burger.
