Fantastic Sams Cut & Color, Plymouth MN

My boyfriend and I made a last minute appointment at Fantastic Sams in Plymouth. Our stylist was Jodie (Jody? Not sure how to spell it) BUT she was amazing! We showed her pictures of what we wanted and she did EXACTLY like the picture. She held a good conversation and we felt very comfortable with her!

The pricing is entirely out of control. After the huge sum, then it is explained to us that a brushing is a separate charge. I really don't think this place is for us, we work for what little we have. I guess the rich can afford it but to us, it was like a little over a days wages to have my wifes hair done. Paid $210 for this, then $120 to get it repaired. She really wasn't happy with the end result either.we ended up going to another place where they corrected it and got just like my wife wanted. Did not like feeling rushed and pushed out the door, especially since we had made an appointment. Not returning!

Love the ladies at this location. Really nice and friendly. This place has really changed. Lousy owner I am told.

We called store before going at 6: 15 PM. We went there at 6: 30 PM. When we walk in she said sorry we are closed. Not a good customer service. Closingon the face and closing time is at 8: 00 PM. Closing one and half hour early? This is at Plymouth location on Vicksburg. So disappointed and decided not to go there. Hope by looking this review they will improve the service.

Between the stylist being unnecessarily rough and then insulting me, I will not be returning here.

I've been going here for many years for color and hair cuts, sometimes a wax and have never been disappointed. All the gals are very talented. I've been recommending this salon to all my friends.

Went in yesterday for my usual eyebrow wax. I didn’t fully access the damage until after I got home.

Nearly half of my eyebrow is GONE! Made worse by the fact that it’s the front half. Needless to say, this will be much harder to conceal until it grows back.

I’m just shocked that the person doing this didn’t take any notice AT ALL. Super unprofessional.

If you want to keep your brows, DON’T GO HERE.

I had Jamel as my hair stylist and all I wanted was 3 inches cut. After washing my hair she started combing from the top of head, just pulling out my hair, not gentle at all. Then she proceeds to cut it, but doesn’t start from one side of my head, she is cutting all around in random places. Then she doesn’t put any product on my hair before blowing drying it with high heat burning my scalp and then doesn’t even brush my hair after. I come home and look in my mirror and my hair is very choppy and looks terrible. Will never be coming back here, she does not know how to do hair.

Unfortunately my experience was a really bad one. I went in with 2 different colors (dark roots and light brown) and came out with 3 different colors (still dark roots, red hair between dark roots and now dark reddish brown bottom). And that was after spending over $160 and 3.5 hours. Ugh.this is very upsetting!

Sadly i had an unfriendly & unprofessional hairdresser. She greeted me with "you ready now? " and seemed really out of it. Messy hair and makeup like she had just woken up. I brought pictures & explained them but she didn't seem to be paying attention and i felt really nervous that it would be cut too short. She didn't speak to me and pulled hard on my hair trying to brush through. I'm really unhappy with my cut and the experience was really awful. I've had great experiences at the Maple Grove location, hopefully they will be able to fix my cut. I won't be coming to this location again

Chris was my stylist I recommend her she has long experience and a great attitude very kind and she knows what she's doing with great customer service. Chris works at the Plymouth location I accidentally made a review for the wrong location.

Brownee is an artist! She gave me an amazing cut, exactly what I was looking for. Thank you Brownee!

Jamel was great! I loved the way my hair turned out, she did a fantastic job! Quality work for a great price!

Best Salon in the area! My friends and I have been coming here for several years now and agree that this is the best service for the money. The ladies are helpful and know what they are doing and I can get highlights or lowlights without much waiting. Strongly recommend!

First time at this location for me. Tiffany styled my hair. She did an amazing job! Tiffany was super nice and gave me one of the best haircuts I've ever had.

Sams is the best! Sams has been cutting my hair going on 4 years now and I’ve never gone to anyone else since then. Very professional. Works with you for your styling needs and understands the process of they style you are working towards. Highly recommend!
