Gent Cuts and Grooming reviews
25Was my first time today. It was nice, clean and convenient. Kate did just a perfect job. Will definitely be a returning customer. Thank you
The staff here are incredible and you should def book with Kate. Always had a great cut even if I had no clue what I wanted or needed.
Every person who has cut my hair here is really good. I usually dont say that either. I am pretty picky about who cuts my hair but this place exceeds my expectations! Friendly staff and easy appointment setup! This is my go to spot!
Have been going to Kate for several years and have always been happy with the stylish cut and attention to detail she provides.
Finally a place that cares about men's hair. They take the time to listen and get the style you're looking for. Online scheduling is dandy. Life's to short to put up with bad hair cuts from people who don't care.
Same issue as some others. Waited 20 minutes passed my appointment time even after showing up 10 minutes early. Asked to cancel and they asked if I wanted to check with the stylist for how much time they needed. I said no thanks.
I however have been here multiple times, had good luck with one stylist. But not the other two. Will not be back.
Nice old school low key atmosphere. Modern clean. Staff is friendly. Real star is Rachel K. She has been hooking up my beard trimming. Absolute rock star
Kate is excellent at what she does. Great conversation, and doesn't try to sell you a bunch of stuff.
Awesome place, I was taken care of by Rachel. Very satisfied with how everything went. Will definitely be going back.
Wonderful place with affordable cut and classic cut. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. I highly recommend this place
I've searched all over for a good barber for my son. We got here on a Sunday and the wait was no time! We'll be back
Have had my hair cut here severally and have always had the best service. The barbers are friendly and they have great designs
Cool experience to get a straight razor shave, but I feel like if you're advertising it as a straight razor shave it ought to be with a real actual straight razor instead of what is referred to as a shavette (a disposable blade). So that was mildly disappointing but the place is pretty cool and the guy did a good job of sculpting my beard/goatee.
First time there. I'm terrible at giving guidance for haircuts, but Rachel H.did an amazing job! Thanks!
Great service offered there. Premium haircuts for a more premium price. You can pick and chose who cuts your hair and at which time.
I love this place. I've been going here for two years and they're always on point. It sounds cliche, but Gent has made me a more confident person. Allison is amazing. I hope she never leaves there, or I will seriously follow her wherever she goes.
Very nice hair stylist. James is a perfectionist which is what my hair needs. Slightly spendy but online scheduling and the convenient location makes it worth it.
This Barbershop is fantastic! Stop in and see my guy Carter. He will take great care of you and is a pleasure to talk with!
This was the worst, most unprofessional customer service I have ever experienced at any salon. It was my 1st time here as I was looking for a new regular place to get my hair cut. I scheduled online with Jack for noon. I showed up a few minutes before noon and was told he was 5-10 minutes behind. That was a little off-putting as a 1st time customer, but not a huge deal. I sit down and out of the corner of my eye I can see him just starting to wash someone's hair. I waited there until 12: 20,20 minutes past my appointment time. No one came over to give me an update. No one came over to apologize. At 12: 20 I got up and told the receptionist I really couldn't wait any longer. I was still hopeful that maybe there would be enough professionalism there that I would be offered a comp service or something, but no. All she did was ask if I want to reschedule.
While I understand that sometimes schedules may be impacted by events out of the salon's control, there are any number of ways this could have been handled more professionally:
1) They could have called me in advance to let me know they were behind and given me the option of coming in later or rescheduling. I have had this happen at my previous salon.
2) They could have given me a more accurate estimate when I arrived. If he was just starting a haircut, why on earth would it be 5-10 minutes? I should have been made aware in advance but at least if I had been told when I got there it was going to be 20-30 minutes, I could have gone next door to grab lunch, go get a coffee, anything other than sitting there staring at the wall waiting.
3) Someone could have come over after 10 minutes to give me an update and apologize.
4) If a previous customer was that late for his appointment they could have asked that person to reschedule instead of keeping me waiting.
5) At the end of it all, the least they could have done was offered to comp my service or give me something in the future for my trouble.
If I owned a business which relies heavily on repeat business and had a brand new customer, I certainly would have taken any one or more of the above actions. I can only assume they want to make their best impression on new clients, and if this is the best they have to offer, it is not somewhere I ever plan to go again. I don't consider myself overly demanding, and I think the biggest measure of professionalism is how a business handles mistakes and incidents of poor service. The clear message here was "We don't care. "
