Ginger Salon, Excelsior MN

I have been to ginger salon a few times and have always seen Cindy - she is wonderful! Always listens to my concerns and brings my hair visions to life, highly recommend! Top of the line hair salon with amazing products and stylists:)

I’ve seen Haley for my haircuts for the past 3 years and she is amazing. The salon is clean and professional and I would recommend them to everyone!

Cindy cut my hair today and did an amazing job. I loved it so much. I had been nervous to get a different cut from what I normally do but she really made it look amazing and now I love it!

I started seeing Chelsea during the pandemic after my regular salon closed. After several months of DIY toning the grey off my head, my color was a mess and I was ready to try something new. For the past two years Chelsea has been the master of my color and cut, which I love to change up by the season. She’s handled everything from “Alexis Rose” balayage, to warm mocha brunette (pictured below), to “I just want to go BLONDE” like a (literal) pro. SO glad I found Chelsea. Also, the Excelsior location is great - super convenient - and the salon offers all kinds of snacks and drinks. 10/10, recommend to a friend.

Bella corrected my first experience, and blew me out of the water with her kindness and making me feel heard and giving me what I asked for. Coming in for a correction I thought it would be awkward and it wasn’t at all.

I was nervous to leave my usual barber but I was looking for something closer to home. Not only did my hair look fantastic but Traci made me feel like a new man. The entire staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. 5/5 would recommend to anyone looking for an expert treatment.

I’m new to the Excelsior area and thought I’d try out a new salon by my house, given that my hairstylist was booked up and I didn’t have the time to drive out to Minneapolis in the next month. I saw mostly 5 star reviews, so I thought this salon would be a good choice! Unfortunately, I got a haircut that I could’ve gotten at Great Clips. I went in with what I thought was a simple request — a couple inches off, layers, face framing. What I got was very choppy, uneven layers. The stylist I used just cut straight across and didn’t blend in the layers. Maybe I should’ve been more clear that I wanted them blended and not blunt, but I’ve never had to explain this before when getting layers. She also didn’t style my hair after the cut, which made it hard for me to realize how terrible it looked until I got home and actually did my hair. I’m having this cut fixed elsewhere and will not be returning to Ginger Salon. I recommend anyone who is seeing a new stylist here, do a consult prior to getting your hair done.

First time here and was impressed. Hailey listened to exactly what I wanted and I love my hair. All their products smell amazing too. I will definitely be back!

Cindy was wonderful. As a stylist of 9 years, I was very pleased with the haircut she gave me and her professionalism. She even got me in before the store opened! I will be back for my next haircut.

Only great things to say about Ginger. Talented stylists, flexible appointment times (as early as 8: 00am with Cindy Green!) and they go above and beyond to take care of their clients. I've used multiple stylists between myself and my two kids, and we've always left very, very happy with our results!

I’m a busy working mom and have to carve time out to go to the salon. I typically go to Haus Salon in Minneapolis and have for years. I always leave Haus Salon beyond happy but it’s tough for me to get to Minneapolis now that I live in Excelsior. So I decided to try out Ginger Salon because it’s close to my house. Cindy cut my hair and it was honesty the worst haircut I’ve ever had. I didn’t know how uneven it was until I washed it at home because she curled it in a way where I couldn’t tell at the salon. Luckily the manager had time to fix it a couple days later, but it’s unfair to me that I had to go back to the salon twice in one week. Unfortunately I won’t be coming back Ginger Salon and will continue to go to Haus Salon.

Cindy has been cutting my hair for years and I highly recommend her. She makes sure that you get a cut that will work well for you and I always leave feeling refreshed and so good about myself. Also, she is very clean, which makes me feel more relaxed. Thank you, Cindy!

I’ve been going to Chelsea since I was 18 and I never leave disappointed! She gets the perfect icy blonde every time, and makes scheduling very simple. Super flexible and always accommodating. Definitely recommend her to everyone especially if you’re going/maintain blonde!
