Heather was awesome, polite, professional and did a wonderful job cutting my hair today. Also I consistently have had a great experience at this location.

The only question I was asked was what are we doing today. Didn’t ask how I would part my hair or anything else. Even after I told her how long I wanted my bangs (below my cheek bones) and how I would part it, she messed up my bangs. Was waaay shorter than what I wanted, doesn’t even look like curtain bangs. They’re right under my eyes. My hair is all choppy and it makes me feel like I look so stupid. For a simple cut and bang trim, and not even being able to do it right, I’m NEVER GOING BACK! I’d rather go to a salon where I pay more for better services. Only went here because my sister had a good experience months ago. Never trusting great clips again.

The first try, we checked in online and it was about a 50 minute wait and a little after 5p. We got there 50 minutes later and the woman turned us away, staring they were closed (this was still before 6p). Went back a different morning, right at 10: 15a for a walk in and the same lady stated in a very condescending voice, "did you check in online? " I said that I did not check in online. Her response was "you can't just walk in right now and get a haircut, do you see this list of names? "

Now, my response wasn't steller. However, you shouldn't talk to people like that.

Today I was totally robbed of my Excitement to visit a near by great Clips adjacent to the neighborhood I reside in. I was greeted by polite pleasant man. Before he could completely check me in. A woman appeared dark shoulder length hair round frame extremely rude, she proceeds to say we don’t cut Hair extensions not once did she politely ask if in fact I had them. A owner of a hair company who supplies medical grade hair units to both men and women I own one of the local skin spa’s uptown mpls, I know the importance of customer service and their experience in this industry is dear to my heart. I exited the salon after sitting in my car and reviewing great clips website I seen no such information that great clips excludes hair extensions of any kind from their cutting services nor noticed any store policy posted. I returned to express how embarrassed and heartbroken I was of the distasteful customer service to add insult to injury, She then applied that not only they do not cut hair extensions but African American hair including in the exclusion of services. Other than my display of my ethnicity I don’t understand why this comment would be made. I remind poised and calm throughout explaining how she could had better consulted me and my hair needs she replied (that this is how we do it at Great Clips) After reading other reviews, May I suggest having a employee like this does nothing for the growth of the business the standards and customer retention, plus referrals in fact it hurts the business, location and growth of the team and working environment, may I add children and other guest was present during today’s interaction, I am calling for action to be taken of investigation of reviews and customer experiences that we save others from experiencing similar incidences. I look forward to contacting franchise owner, and also reaching out to corporate company policies, and if for a fact that extensions is excluded in your services due to in-house policy, this should be displayed publicly. The comment of exclusion of African-American Hair being included should be addressed and taken seriously, we understand not all stylists is educated or comfortable with all hair types. May I add My hair integration was made of a jewish medical unit, I was not giving a opportunity to explain the light face framing trim I was looking for. In this matter textured and or requested style can not be the debate I was treated poorly and handled with total disregard.

The lady that did my hair did a decent job, BUT nothing about her conduct was professional. She asked me to sit in her station. It was dirty, there was still hair on the floor, and the clipper guards were covered with hair from her previous costumers. She jolted the chair without warning to crank it up. She sprayed my hair from the front without covering my eyes. Lastly, she also blew my hair without warning. I got hair strands in my eyes. She didn't care to apologize either. The license on her station states her name as "T. Z. ". I usually go to the Great Clips in White Bear Lake. I love the ladies there, but I made a unfortunate mistake in going here today. I will not repeat my mistake.

EDIT:
The salon owner's reached out to me to apologize and is sending me a coupon for a haircut. Kudos for great customer service, but I'm still giving one star. And if more people have problems with this particular hairstylist, she needs to go.

She's awesome. Can't remember her name but she has long dark hair & tats. She fixed the screwed up haircut I got from the great clips in St. Anthony.

I arrived in this shop at 10: 02 am. She wouldn’t take our name but made me use the check in. She didn’t acknowledge me until I was sitting there 5 minutes. My sister had the same experience the day before but didn’t have time to wait. This was for an elderly friend who does not use a computer. Very rude. I couldn’t sign up online because you can’t do it until you open! Ridiculous!

Just not polite or kind. Very rude and disrespectful. Extremely disappointed with poor customer services. This entire experience left me feeling frustrated and undervalued. I was treated with a carlees and indifferent attitude. Rather than take time to rectify the problem they seemed more Interested in dismissing my concerns.

It is quite rare for me to rate anything at one star. Generally I'll give people and businesses the benefit of the doubt, but there were a number of ways in which my issue here could have been mitigated.

A couple days ago I booked an appointment at this location via online check-in. Prior to booming, I looked online and in the app to see that they were supposed to close at 6pm. After waiting a few minutes I drove to the location. Inside was dark and the door was locked. This was at about 5: 45pm. I could see that the hours on the door and on a separate sign on the door also said they were open till 6. The waiting list was visible on the computer and it showed my name as well as several other names. A few minutes later, the list disappeared. The store had closed early without notifying those waiting. A call or a message would have been nice or a cancelation on the app from their end. Driving there to be locked out during scheduled business hours was a disappointment, and for that reason, I will not return to this location.

The staff is nice but a lady look like owner was very mean she try to hide lollipop from my son because he was crying.
He was crying because he don’t like haircut.

Kailey is a game-changer! I went in for a normal haircut and complained a little bit about some buildup from a product I was using; she proceeded to scrub my scalp clear and gave some great advice about new product recommendations! Fast and incredibly helpful - Plus a great haircut!

I stopped by to fix a really bad haircut the day I got before. The hair stylist managed to fix the bad haircut and am ready to gorw out my hair again!
