I got an amazing head massage in their dark, peaceful shampoo room.it smelled of mint and calming music was softly playing. Then, I got the best cut I've had in a long time! All while able to actually make a same day appt during a pandemic!

I came to this salon the same day I made my appointment and I was delighted with the incredible atmosphere they create.

I was only there for a blowout and the stylist was so gracious and attentive the entire time I was there. They offered a drink right away. The scalp and neck massage they provide when they shampoo your hair is out of this world! Spa quality treatment; Sitting in a quiet, dark area with soft music playing and delicious aromatherapy while your scalp is massaged.
My stylist was friendly and engaging and took her time arranging my hair in the best way - this was no rush job to get me out of her chair so the next client could hop in. She made my hair look beautiful and I felt amazing for the rest of my day.
She didn’t just blow out my hair with a brush, she heat styled it and offered me a hair ornament of my choice to wear with it.
This is a salon that knows how to provide luxury treatment to its clients. I only wish I lived closer!

I was excited to have a haircut here with a good recommendation from my friend and made an appointment a week a head with a stylist I wanted.on the day I came, they said my stylist was not available and gave me someone else and urge me to walk in and then I had to figure out my schedule and got back to them, they said there was no one available. This really upset me about unprofessional customer service since they have receptionist to handle appointments. I hope the salon would consider about this issue to have better customer service.

There was an issue when I first arrived, but the courteous and kind staff took full responsibility for it and made it right. The customer service alone is worthy of five stars and the finished result makes AVBS my new go-to salon in Springfield. Breann is a true professional. Free parking exists right across the street for customers. The environment is relaxing and they make you feel at home. Thank you, AVBS!

I’ve been an AVBS customer for 3+ years and love the salon. My regular stylist changed careers and the person she recommended to me was not available, SO I trusted the front desk (Trenton, I believe) and booked an appointment with an unknown. She was very nice but definitely not the ability level I am accustomed to at AVBS. I rushed home thinking a rewash and style would help but it did not. My hair is much shorter than the trim and shape up I requested, so have a painful few weeks ahead. I will return to AVBS because I love the place but will definitely wait and book my preferred stylist.

Everytime I come here I always feel better than when I came in. Kassie is amazing, not only at hair but at making you feel comfortable and content. I love coming here and chatting away with her as she works her magic! Best place in town.

A. V. B. S is easily Springfield’s most luxurious salon’s. The staff is more then welcoming which you don’t see a lot in the “higher end” salon’s. They are the Midwest’s Premier Paul Mitchell Salon, and have just about every Paul Mitchell product you can think of. Tiffany is the stylist I recommend booking with as she’s the only one I’ll ever let cut my hair again (sorry grandma). She is also possibly the best coloring stylist in Springfield. Hands down the most elegant salon in the 417!

This place is amazing! I personally love my hair stylist Becca! She is honest and has done a ridiculously awesome job at anything I have brought to her. Also, the rest of the staff is welcoming, helpful and truly excel at customer service. The environment is relaxing as well.

I came here because I was recommended to come here by someone. Everyone was nice and the place was very spacious. I'm a guy who likes a good taper and a little trim every 3-4 weeks. This girl spent almost 2 hours cutting my hair. I had 0 sides left after she shaved it over and over. My hair feels choppy and unbalanced the way she cut it and it's very hard to style now. Overall very disappointed with the cut and bummed that my hairstyle was ruined. Definitely won't be coming back here.

I had high hopes going into the salon due to the high reviews but I was very disappointed. I recently moved to Missouri and was recommended by a friend to go here. The salon is really nice and great decor BUT.they put you with a stylist that is new which is odd considering you would think they would want you back. I spoke with the girl and she assured me over and over the picture I showed her could be accomplished. Now I have different size blonde highlights all over and they are really thin and nothing like what I wanted, probably due to the fact they had 2 people doing my hair at once that obviously couldn’t communicate. My appointment was at 1: 15 and I had to leave at 7pm to get my kids without getting the haircut I already paid for. They did however offer to fix it for free but I can’t bring myself to sit there all day again. $218 already plus paying a babysitter for 6-7 hours. Not worth it.

I have extremely curly 3b/3c hair and have always had a hard time finding the right person to cut my hair until I met Shay. She listened to everything I had to say and exceeded all of my expectations. She is absolutely wonderful and very knowledgeable in her craft. Obsessed with my hair and can’t wait to keep coming back.

Jordan is a wonderful stylist! She knows her product lines and knows how to apply them to make my hair look amazing! I know I can trust her because she listens to me first, then makes suggestions and follows through without being heavy- handed with the scissors. Jordan can do such beautiful braids and many other complicated hair styles. Recommend, recommend, recommend!

Emily Worcester is amazing and would highly recommend for any services. She was early for hair styling at Wedding Venue & had helped recommend and take a few photos when our Photographer backed out an hour before the wedding. Hair looked amazing and she has a relaxing and calming effect that helped immensely. Thank you Emily!

If you need something new, go to Blair. I have been going to Blair for almost ten years and trust very few people like I do her. She does fantastic cuts, but even more than that are her color abilities! I lived out of state for four years and I could only visit her every 8-10 months. She was able to find a great color for me that was still friendly when I didn’t have time to come in for touch ups. I often go with her suggestions and I’ve tried lots of looks with her. She knows what will look good and always ensures you’re looking fresh (even weeks after you leave the salon). I have referred many friends who have become long standing clients. If you are lucky enough to book an appointment with her, go ahead and just save her name in your phone. You will definitely be back. #BlairHair!
