Academy of Hair Design, Springfield MO

I love going here because yes, they are students but, they are learning and you get a great price on haircuts, hair color, waxing, all of it. I like to go for myself but, I also take my kids to get their hair done now because, they want more than a buzz cut. They want color and style. The hairdressers that I have come in contact with have been so good to my kids and me. I Definitely recommend this place.

If you wanna learn online and through your classmates come here cause the teachers think their outside life is more important than their job and wanna leave early very unprofessional

I’ve had four cuts there and each time the students have done a fantastic job. Each of them were very courteous and professional. Highly recommend for an affordable Men’s cut.

I went in for a haircut and my hair was extremely long, like down to my butt. Yesterday I asked for a trim just to get the dead hair off. I only wanted 2 inches off but she definitely cut more than that. She cut almost 6 inches when that’s not what I asked for. I’m not sure what training they are receiving but 2 inches is not chopping all of my hair off. I’ve been here before but I’ve never been so upset with my haircut. Extremely disappointed and don’t recommend, if you want to keep your hair the length you have it, don’t go here!

I had my hair done by Payton Coffer at Academy of hair design. She done an amazing job. It was there friends and family day. All the staff and students were all very nice.

They completely butchered my sons hair. Showed a pic with 4-5 inch height and ended up with maybe 1inch left. We have come many times, however I am not sure if we will come back. When the instructors knew how upset my son was they tried to fix it however it was way too short at that point. Offered $1 off.

Took my girlfriend to this place, she had the worst experience. She called first to ask if they were accepting walk-ins for a cut and color and they said yes. Once we got there she was told that they couldn't do it. She explained that she just called. And the lady got an attitude with her. Another girl who was eating hot chips behind the desk got in front of my girlfriend and walked behind her to the door and watched as she got in the car. I guess she was going to be the one to fight, over a haircut. This was the most disrespectful, poorly ran school and would not recommend to anyone.

Instructors and students are great, but its frustrating when an appointment is confirmed and no one is available to actually cut your hair. Problems with scheduling need to be resolved. Follow up: I do appreciate the owners response. Thank you.

I had a wonderful experience at Academy of Hair. Everyone was incredibly nice, friendly, and professional. They were prompt, addressed my needs immediately, and were very invested in making sure I was satisfied. I got my hair done, cut and nails done. The whole experience was great and I look forward to coming back. Amanda and Rhiannon were exceptional and very professional. I had a great time getting to know them.

If I could give a zero star rating academy hair of design is a trash company and do not care about any of their customers and nor will they do a refunds all I have to say is trash

I had a really good massage if people are thinking about it you should go there they're a lot cheaper than going to regular massage place I have another one scheduled for next month

Students work very hard and are often polite. We enjoyed our students but the company itself deserves 1 star. I and my cousin received gift certificates and every time we’ve tried to to get any of our services they’ve been very complicated to work with, either not able to get us in at all or only part of what we scheduled.

Absolutely awful experience both times I went. I realize these people are learning, but my hair will never be at their mercy again.

I got right in as a walk-in the day after Thanksgiving.kayley G.did an amazing job! It was her first shaggy bob and my first haircut in 3 years! Can't wait to show it off!

My memory doesn’t serve me well so I don’t remember her name but my stylist was waaay more skilled than she was confident. Took a bit of extra time, but she took that time to make sure she got my hair how I wanted. Instructor was attentive, and kept with her every step of the way. I’ll definitely be back. Tomorrow actually to have my hair colored. I’ll update this review then. Great job, guys. EDIT: I went to Blush studio back in April and the lady swore up and down that I would have to come back in two weeks later. Jessica did twice the work in half the time and my charcoal silver hair came out absolutely phenomenal in one treatment. At the price they charge, you couldn’t find a better stylist to dye your hair. I will definitely come back to get my highlights done oh my god. 10/10.

My daughter's hair turned out great but my son was not so lucky. I asked for a simple trim but his bangs were cut far too short.
