Had my battery tested and showed low voltage, had my battery in stock maybe 10 min in and out and got my Ole lady back on the road

I have been shopping at the Blue Springs store for about 6 months and Tito has gone above and beyond Numerous times! He helps me more than I can tell you.
Just like everybody you guys are under staffed and he Never gets flustered or breaks his stride he is doing an excellent job and you guys should definitely take care of him thanks.

I ordered a hand bilge for our sailboat on the Advanced Auto Parts website, and my order was ready in 30 minutes as promised. I was also in need of marine epoxy and the staff members were very helpful by directly taking me to it.
I used ther 15% off coupon code for online orders and was very satisfied with the overall price.

Stopped in the store yesterday (03/25/21) to recycle oil and noticed two jugs of oil on sale (really good value, $7.49 or $7.99 for a 5 qt), obviously house brand and possibly being discontinued. But great oil for an older truck etc.

While waiting in line, two other persons were ahead of me. Two store employee's that I saw also there. The employee was assisting the first customer with looking up some parts and almost every reply from the employee was like a robot reading a script that it is not in stock and he could order it from the warehouse etc. This went on for maybe 3-4 minutes, the customer remarked not to worry about it, thanked him and left.

The next customer wanted some parts for I believe it was a 1997 Toyota something with a 2.7L engine. He needed fuel injectors, valve cover gasket, spark plug grommets/seals and plug wires. While this is going on, employee #2 leaves from beside employee #1, looks at the growing line of customers (3 of us now) and with head down shuffles back down from behind the counter to some product needing stocked.

While the customer is getting quotes on prices, the fuel injectors the price he's told doesn't match up with what he believed he saw on the Advance Auto web site. Employee #1 returns to the list and also notes a reman injector so they go back and forth for a bit on new vs reman etc and then in the robot scripted voice is told it's not in stock.order from the warehouse.here saturday.

I look around to see where employee #2 has skirted off to and see him in the oil isle, peeking over from time to time at the line.

We move past the fuel injectors after several minutes of basically going no where and onto the valve cover gasket, does it come with the spark plug gaskets or not (not familiar with that engine so it must be plugs thru the valve cover. They go round and round on material, no it's not in stock bah, bah bah have to order it.saturday etc. Then looking at spark plug gaskets, which were $22 extra so there's several minutes of back and forth no in stock, the price and they should be included etc.

I looked at my phone (clock) and turned to the customer behind me, remarked "this could be a long while" which he smiled and nodded.

Several more minutes pass and they move on to spark plug wires. I believe by this point of constantly hearing the ". Have to order it from the warehouse.have it by friday, have it by saturday.etc" and the customer asking if it could ship to the Grain Valley store as it's closer.

Finally after what I have made an educated guess to be 16-18 minutes of nothing really happening and evaluating the value of my time and the savings for those two jugs of clearance oil, I realized I have just waisted at least 16-18 minutes of my life waiting for one employee helping a customer while the other employee ducked and covered.

Needless to say Advance Auto Parts has failed me and the other customers waiting in line.

Now I will say this, I'm not going to stop buying auto parts from them because I Stopped doing that a long time ago (Thanks ROCK AUTO. COM),
I put the oil back and quietly left.

Afterward I thought I should had told the customer at the counter about RockAuto.com, the huge price savings, quick shipping and having EVERYTHING in stock from several vendors, but I didn't, should have, but I didn't.

One thing I hope Advance Auto Parts does in the future, if for some reason the #2nd employee wasn't trained on a register or something.maybe have one of the two employees briefly let us know ". I'm sorry, I don't have access to the register/check out" or something similar.

Really sad when I witnessed two customers ahead of me looking for parts and both being told everything they needed had to be sent from the warehouse, or other store, or other mysterious place.what an inept business model. I had that happen to me a few times and hadn't tried to buy another auto part since from them.

Very convenient local right off of 7 Hiway in Blue Springs. Need a car part or tools they most likely will have it.

Analysed the problem quickly and replaced battery. Satisfied with price and service. I will continue to go with them for our needs as I have before.
