6I love coming and donating here. I'll actually go out of my way just to make sure this place gets whatever I have that's worth value because they do a lot for their community. It's a good source for community service if you have to take that route and they're always helping those in need.
This shelter turns people away if they can't work to the required level he prefers. Regardless of need or sickness.
The rooms have mice infestations, have videos of mice running around in the vents above the beds.
The pantry will give out spoiled food. If the man running it doesn't like you, you will get less or no meat. If he does, you will get more.
There's signs up in the back that state if someone's kid opens a fridge door "you will be thrown out".
There is freezers stuffed full of meat In the back that will not be distributed and left in until it expires.
Walley and Father Jim took me in after being financially and emotionally destroyed by family members and rotten relationships to the point of homelessness. I am forever grateful for the help and support.
Altogether a great experience. Friendly and helpful people asking for nothing but a thank you.
