Alex's Pizza Palace reviews
20The service was wonderful and it can only be matched by luscious food. The portions were generous. Wonderful experience. I really recommend you try the chicken alfredo.
We went there for Pepsi's annual Christmas party and their food was amazing as usual. Plus the staff was very good at keeping our drinks refilled and empty plates taken away.
Been number of errors with online ordering.just today ordered pepperoni like always do and a pepper pizza was made. I went it and they refused to make it right. Highly dissatisfied and disappointed.
I did not have a good experience at Alex's on my birthday. My family of 5 went there for dinner and we won't be going back
So expensive! For four people, came to a little over $90 bucks! The pizza, chicken parmigiana was awful! Not including the $8 appetizer, cheese balls!? More like nasty balls! Please don't waste your money here!
Alex's is the best. I always get the gyros and they are delicious. Girls there are very friendly and helpful. I have been going there for over 30 years and will continue. Thank you!
Gonna be real, looked at the menu on Doordash and it seemed kinda weird. Took the leap of faith and man, where has this been all my life? The food has a unique old school taste. For example, got a calzone and the crust was just perfect! Little crunch, soft, airy, interior with a flavor you could pull out of a line up. The cheese tasted fresh (whether it is or not) and paired with the seasoning that give a flavor experience all on its own. Add in the meat and what appeared to me to be a lovely olive oil topping and you create a recipe for the soul. This is Soul Food Pizza. No other way to put it!
Unfortunately after giving this establishment so many second chances, I finally have to make my decision on 2/5.
Price wise the food is in my opinion overpriced for what you get. 12 dollar salads feature iceberg lettuce is in my opinion an embarrassment. Iceberg is neither tasty or Greek. All you can count on an iceberg to do is sink your experience like the Titanic. My beverage was mostly flat, although this could be from a fountain issue.
The Gyro meat itself is quite good and tastes well, but is quite naked in the pita. I personally prefer Gyros to be accompanied with more vegetables to establish a more Mediterranean flair. The fries are also very good. The gyros meat was cold to the touch when served to us.
Cheesy garlic bread lacked any garlic. Only featuring cheese that poorly paired with "garlic" bread, tasting more like a bland slice of great value gouda.
After bringing up our grievances with the "garlic" bread not having any garlic on it, we were still billed full price for the incorrectly prepared item.
Internally the dining room features dated and cracked seating and visible lack of cleanliness.
There are plenty of better establishments in the local Rolla area. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this establishment.
Pizza is great. Has a slightly different taste than what you experience from most pizza places. It’s that Greek based recipe they’ve been using for so many years. First introduced to Alex’s while attending UMR; now we make it a point to stop for pizza any time we’re close by. We particularly like the sausage pizza. Let’s hope they never alter their recipe.
Best pizza I've ever had in my life next to Shotgun Dan's in Sherwood Arkansas. Family-owned two in the country. This Pizzeria has been around since 1953 and the owner has not changed the recipe. Pure mozzarella the only way to go. Better than any Pizzeria in St Louis on the hill. T e a k l a v welcomed me to the city with a shot of brandy. The Greek salad was phenomenal as well.
I have lived in Rolla for over 20 years and love Alexs. Amazing food. What is not amazing is when you do pickup order, they mess it up but won't fix the issue. When people have only an hour for lunch then have to leave to go get it cause they don' t deliver till 4pm, means i cant just leave again to go get what they messed up.
Very small pasta portion for The price. On the menu under sandwiches and gyros it said add a salad for 4.99. Says nothing about substitutions only add a salad for 4.99We requested a salad and we’re charge 7.49 and then told we were wrong and didn’t know how to read a menu. Waitress was rude and manager on duty was rude. We will not be returning and do not recommend it.
Food was good just pricy if you ask me. The prices they show here do not match up when I got there everything we ordered was a couple bucks more then what it shows here needs to be updated
The food is always good and the customer service is amazing, they seated us quickly and the staff was always ready to get your order.
Expensive but tasty pizza. They use ground beef as a base layer on some pizzas which is not to my liking. Other than that, tasty pizzas. They do have other items on the menu like subs and salads. Busy during peak times.
I went to Alex's pizza palace and the service was very bad the one of the older watches ask me to go out side and fight and wean I spoke to the manager I was asked to leve I don't know what kinda place allows there employees to ask that way but be careful who might what get something to eat there the staff didn't seam all there
I was surprised how well they handled having a variety of different types of food. The pizza was great. The gyro was great too, never seen one with bacon and pepperoni before:) and the best part was the french fries. Very crispy and probably one of the best I've had. You have to try them.
Have always had friendly staff Everytime we've gone. They can get pretty busy as they are basically the only pizza place in town, but nothing tastes better than real pizza.
I was actually not impressed. The food was overly salty. Service was fine and drinks are fine. I'll try again another time, but this time, my first visit, I wasn't impressed.
Absolutely fabulous, had the cauliflower crust with the Alfredo sauce and veggies. Actually had to get a second one to go because it was so good. My friend got the same Pizza I did, and then a second different one to go.
