Allegro Senior Living – Richmond Heights, MO

Management here doesn’t care about their employees. Former associate here, and I could write a whole book about how terribly ran this company is. Why on earth do they have only 3 housekeepers which 2 of them are elderly women (both well over 60) and aren’t capable of much? Unsanitary, no hand sanitizer in any of the dispensers in ANY of the halls, most aides have to go out and buy their own hand sanitizer and bleach after changing a resident! Housekeepers are having to sneak in their own personal cleaning supplies and sanitizing wipes they’ve bought because if they’re caught, they risk getting wrote up. Nobody is wearing hairnets in the kitchen, not to mention the lack of cleaning the supplies they provide for their housekeepers. They refuse to hire any floor techs, they actually refuse to hire anyone which is why there are so little aides and housekeepers! That carpet hasn’t been cleaned since November of 2022. That Eldin does nothing but smoke cigarettes all throughout his shift and come back in the building leaving the rancid smell of them lingering inside! They do not care about those residents there OR theirs employees and it’s very sad. Management is so lazy and lousy all they care about is sitting around gossiping while everybody around them struggles. They need to be dealt with and fast because the things that go on in that place is RIDICULOUS! Oh and by the way, this place is super prejudice, if you are of any race other than white expect to get looked at funny. Allegro is not a place you want to put your loved ones so many residents either get hospitalized or die here

I wish to thank Allegro Senior Living for the care and attention they have given my mother. Kari, Karmen, Trisha, and Salena all gave their best efforts to make life as comfortable as possible for mom. Ben and Jackie do a wonderful job of keeping the residents active and engaged. I highly recommend Allegro to anyone looking for a home for their loved one.

The level of care was poor and I reported the facility to the state due to negligence. So many offences, ultimatly leading to my mom's hospitalization. Hard to trust assisted living facilities such as this (and most) that are owned by property developers (rather than those inolved in healthcare). Thankfully we found a memory care home for my mom that has a proper staff to resident ratio and my mom is thriving.
PS- in response to your response to my review, I of course talked with Kari in length about our concerns, before and after we pulled my mom out. I am only reviewing here to give families more information.which in essence is: Allegro is not a safe place for someone who requires a high level of care.

Allegro is a wonderful place for your loved one. The workers are so caring and nice. You can tell that they love what they do. They also made my mom feel special. The apartments are nice and spacious and there is always some activity going on. I would highly recommend Allegro for anyone wishing to place their loved one in assisted living facility.

My mother has been a resident at Allegro for just over 1.5 years. They have been wonderful about making her feel welcome and included. The staff are all so friendly, and the food is very good. It’s like a boutique hotel for elderly people! She loves it, and I am grateful.

Working at Allegro Richmond Heights has been a very pleasant experience. I have worked for Allegro for almost four years, and the management and staff are friendly, and a pleasure to work with. I would recommend Allegro Richmond Heights for your loved ones.

Allegro and it’s staff go above and beyond on a daily basis! Their compassion and attention to detail have made our mother’s transition to assisted living seamless! All staff know every resident by name and are fantastic at anticipating the resident’s needs! There are a multitude of daily and weekly activities to cater to everyone’s needs! Their outings are fun and geared towards the capabilities of the residents! An open line of communication is kept with family via text, phone calls and emails! Family is assisted with any issues that might arise and are kept abreast of loved ones progress via conferences. Honestly, my siblings and I can’t say enough good things about Allegro! Its staff and programs have been the best thing for our mother, and because of this, Allegro (and it’s staff) gets our highest recommendation!

The festive atmosphere and beautiful building makes one feel good inside and out. As a physician I know how important it is for people to enjoy life, and Allegro provides this.

Placing my mother in assisted living was a really difficult decision and I visited many before deciding on Allegro. Chrissy, Kari and Tricia were very reassuring and welcoming. My mom seems happy there so far and interested in the many activities offered. With a little time, I'll update my review if the service, cleanliness and food stays high quality and consistent. I'm very appreciative of the team's professionalism.

Do not move your family member into this place. Management HORRIBLE! There is Only 1 Rn and 1 Lpn Karmen and Teresa they DO NOTHING they do not make residents their 1st priority litterally everything is when they feel like it several families have moved their loved ones out for that reason. Teresa said out her own mouth “ If Karmen Doesnt Care then I Dont” Yes this is Coming from Management at Allegro. There’s no communication Karmen will not reach back out or even acknowledge you when wanting to know things about your loved ones. No Type of Good customer service front desk lady Renee is so Disgusting and rude for no reason at all. Kitchen have bugs and workers doesn’t use gloves when preparing food. Lots of Racism They put on this big smile to convince you to move your loved ones in then when they get there it’s a different story. Idk why they have activities because they never do anything with them and when they are suppose to they cancel. This is just over all a HORRIBLE place if it had BETTER management it could be great. Management show no appreciation it’s them VS the employees, They are more worried about “bullying” care staff then caring for residents.

My mom lived there for 4 months and I moved her out because I did not think there was quality medical attention. There is only one RN for many people and that person has to be in charge of staff getting laundry and trash taken as well. She never visited my mom's room, and when mom moved in, the nurse talked to her for about 5 minutes only. And when my mom broke a hip by falling, the nurse chose not to send to hospital, just had a portable xray come that missed the break and now my mom is limited in her walking. When the nurse went on vacation, a corporate nurse substituted and she was shocked my mom was not in rehab, and had her sent out to hospital. Her trash would overflow and laundry was not done for the first 4 weeks but was supposed to be done weekly. This was from April to July 2022. Mom ate alone usually because there is no assigned seating or times for meals, so that was not great (she is shy). The outdoor amenities are super limited. It is very urban with almost no parking for visitors. They have nice activities, a great PT service and room, and good food with a beautiful building and floor plan which feels like a very big house, so that is so nice. This place is good for a social healthier person. Wonderful desk staff and some nice care staff.

My mom stayed at Allegro one time for two weeks, and she absolutely loved it. Now she won’t stay anyplace else. She loved the staff and the wonderful people whom she meant. I can’t say enough good things about the staff and the cleanness of the facility. Now my mom has been returning for several years whenever we are out of town. I would recommend Allegro to anyone looking for a great place for their love ones.

What a great place to live! The food here is excellent with great variety and choices. The people, both staff and residents, are kind and pleasant. I wasn't planning on selling my house so soon, but this is working much better than expected.

I moved here from another facility in the area. This has been so good for me. They have wonderful food, a good physical therapy team, loads of all kinds of activities, a marvelous staff that CARES, and very nice residents. I could not ask for a better place to live.

Allegro Richmond Heights is a marvelous place to live for a variety of reasons. This facility provides
just about everything I need on an ongoing basis including three very good meals a day, housekeeping services, maintenance, medicine distribution, and many outings and activities. In addition, the facility
takes residents to medical appointments when
requested.
The employees at Allegro are always ready to help the
residents. Whether it is the Care Staff, the Med. Techs, the kitchen/dining room cooks and servers,
the housekeepers, or maintenance personnel, Front
Desk Receptionists, or the Management Team,
the courteous and responsive staff is always willing
to do their best to assist and care for the residents.
There is also a plan to enhance effective communication between employees and residents. This strong effort features regular meetings at which
residents are given the opportunity to suggest
changes and offer compliments. These meetings
are conducted using both formal and informal
formats.
Allegro is maintained beautifully and provides every
resident a wonderful environment to really enjoy
and appreciate a superb as well as meaningful
life.
