This office is super unprofessional and i will be taking my daughter elsewhere after today. I confirmed my 9am appointment twice with the office and still when i showed up for the appointment at 8: 50 i was told there was no doctor in yet so they would not be able to check me in. 20 min goes by and then they checked me in. So it was already 10 min past my appointment time. After check in they immediately move me and my daughter to a tiny closet of a room in the very back. Right now it is 45 min past my appointment time and we still have not seen the doctor or nurse. For people who work during the day this process does not work as i only have limited time off and they are already making it even later now that it is 45 min past my appointments time and still have not seen the doctor yet. This appointment was a simple follow up and should not have taken more than 20-30 min but because the doctor was late now so am i. This is terrible don’t set early morning appointments if you can’t make it to work on time. Also to clarify this is at the Ballwin office

Doctors are great and care about their patients - I have been to the Creve Coeur location.

Very disappointing experience. Started allergy shots in 2019 in the O’Fallon office. I was convinced to do it by the Allergist since I could work the shots around my work schedule with walk in appointments. They removed walk ins during Covid and I was told they will not be returning to walk ins. There is no direct line to the O’Fallon office, so rescheduling is difficult. You have to call the Ballwin office and hope to get through. Then wait for a call back after they’ve talked to the O’Fallon office for you. Forget about getting your shot rescheduled in your time frame. If you can’t get rescheduled for a shot in time, you’ll have to make additional appointments for extra shots because you have to get half shots 2 weeks in a row before going back to full strength. Hopefully you won’t need your EPI pen because the prescription never seems to get sent in.

We were seeing Dr. Davis but now that he’s retired we saw Dr. Goodman and he was great! He took his time with us and was very informative. My son who is three felt very comfortable and I felt like. The staff is also nice when we go and we haven’t had any issues. I would definitely recommend

I went here as a child, and am now bringing my own children. The staff is friendly and put my kiddos (who can get anxious) at ease. The most recent visit we saw the nurse practitioner Alexia Munter. She was FANTASTIC with my oldest, and even gave me information when some of my own health issues came up in conversation. I truly appreciate the help even though it wasn't my appointment. I was sad when Dr. Birdie retired, but we have had a positive experience in the transition. I also appreciate how organized they are.

Tried to schedule my daughter an appointment to be seen as she’s 6 almost 7 months old, was offered today 06/23 and took it as we see multiple specialists in a week. Arrived nobody was in office and was told to wait in the hall and have a seat as someone would be ready in 10-15 minutes, went back to try again nobody there, waited until 8: 30 nobody still. I don’t understand the point in having that time open if you’re not actually going to be available? And it also says they’re open at 9. Extremely unprofessional now I’m sitting in the car trying to console my baby before heading home will just drive further to Ofallon location. This is very upsetting.

Dr Wright has been my allergist for 15 years and he has been the best. The staff truly care about you. Kim has been with the practice for a very long time and is so nice. She is professional and helpful. If there’s a way that she can help you she will. Kim has gone out of her way to help me. Jody is also very nice and helpful. She is very sweet and has a good personality but is also very professional. Jodi is a very caring person.
I have to say that this office truly cares about their patients.when I was hospitalized with asthma my doctor always had his nurse call and check on me if was not the one to do so. He didn’t visit because he didn’t have privileges at the hospital that I was in, but the office was calling me to make sure I was doing ok. I know that I am well cared for at this office and by Dr Wright. I highly recommend this office. Kim the office manager is awesome. All the girls that give shots are friendly. And a great Dr!

As Mary B said in her review a few months ago - the doctors are amazing! The staff… not so much.

I’ve been with the Ballas office off and on for 30 years with Dr Susan Berdy. I transferred care to Dr. Suffian when Dr. Berdy retired. Over the years I have never questioned my care with the doctors. They’ve always listened and have been amazing.

The staff… well, to put it nicely, they could all use a lot of soft skills (customer service) training on how to be nice, while being firm to office rules and regulations. I have received immunology injections monthly for the past 12 years, so this is nothing new. They all always seem very disgruntled, unapproachable, and annoyed by patients (in person, and over the phone). You can hear it both in their voice, and their body language & facial expresses (RBF is fierce with the older brunette at the front desk yikes- and she’s been there awhile). Once Dr. Berdy retired, it worsened, which was sad because there were a few staff members who have been there forever, who have also seemed to become more irritable - probably due to to high turnover with staff.

Ballas office - I have sat and waited numerous times for for my allergy injections for 20+ mins after my appt time while listening to the staff gossip and goof around, rather than answer phones and take care of patients waiting. I once had to ask “hey, did you see there are four of us here, I’ve been here 20 mins waiting while you chit chat. ” I also once witnessed one staff member blow up at the others because no one was answering phones or taking care of shot patients, but instead chatting about someone’s horrible date. Mind you, it was a good story, but it probably should have waited for happy hour or something due to the intimate details. Eep. Please let me elaborate- when Linda was there, this didn’t happen. But she left. And when Kim is at Ballas, which was rarely on my shot schedule, I was always in and out for shots- basically, when Kim is there, the staff works. I told Kim I was leaving when she gave me my last shot, and the staff was the reason why. Another patient overhead me and agreed the staff was lacking severely, I gave that patient the name of the new allergist I was switching to as she asked.

In addition, the office is way behind on technology. They still utilize paper charting and their billing & payment is that of the dinosaurs. Patients have no way to leave voice messages, or get in contact with the doctors/nurses electronically if issues arise and you can’t make an appointment, need to reschedule, or simply ask a quick question that can be answered later.

In the end, I have transferred my care to a new doctor not associated with Allergy Consultants. When making the appointment with the new doctor, the receptionist asked why I was leaving. I told her due to the staff, and she said I’m not the first person to say that, which is concerning.

Good luck to the doctors! I hope your staff wisens up, or you restart with all new…

My two children were patients of Dr. Davis for a few years. We loved Dr. Davis and had been going consistently to the office for allergy shots. However, since Dr. Davis’s retirement this past year, we began to notice how unreliable the rest of the staff there is. Twice they canceled the appointments my kids had set up for allergy shots at the last minute without reason, and it was impossible to get a hold of them to reschedule. We would call and either no one would answer or if we left a message- it took a long time to get a call back. Now too much time has lapsed between shots so my kids are set back to square one in their treatment. Save yourself the time and frustration- find a different allergist!

Although I really like Dr. Wright, as he takes time with all his patients, the office has much left to be desired. They don't answer phone calls or turn on their phones at the start of business hours. They are often late to give the allergy shot when you arrive on time or early, they spend time talking to each other instead of giving the shots, and I often spend at least 10 minutes up to 20 minutes waiting for an allergy shot that was scheduled at a certain time. However, if I should arrive late due to unforeseen circumstances, I am not allowed to get my allergy shot. Additionally, they have no way to leave a message to cancel your appointments if you happen to wake up sick and unable to make the appointment, as their medical exchange cannot take messages and they have no voicemail. And you are charged a fee for missing an appointment with no way to notify them to cancel.
