Xrays were taken and that was all. The dentist didn't do any exams, just looked at my teeth and said I needed a deep cleaning, which could be possible because my prior dentist didn't do good work. They tried to get a 2nd cleaning fee and a deep cleaning fee from my insurance, which they declined. Insurance says they only need to get the deep cleaning approved without a 2nd cleaning claim. Needless to say, they didn't change their request so it was never approved. Now I get an invoice for $65 in addition to what my insurance paid. I never mind paying my bills but the dentist didn't do anything and I'm sure what my insurance paid, covered the x-rays taken. I'm paying the $65 under protest.

This place is a joke, the dentist acts as if he knows nothing about dental work an seems to ask his assistant questions as if she's the dentist. The assistant is very unprofessional and don't seem to know what she's doing. I see they are taking insurance money but is not doing proper work. Will never go back to this place again.

This was the worse dental experience I ever had. Dr Winthrop first will ask the same questions over and over. Will forget exactly what he’s suppose to be doing. I got dentures which did not fit me properly. Dr Winthrop would have an assistant from his office to file my dentures which would only make matters worse instead of sending them back to the lab. The dentures had been filed so much to the point where there wasn’t anything left to do with them. Apparently he wanted me to keep the dentures and just throw them up on a shelf. After several visits I got Leukoplakia which is cause by badly fitting dentures. The equipment in his office is very old. The dental chairs are worn and other seats in the office are stained in areas you probably would care not to sit on. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST. IF SO YOU WILL REGRET IT”

They're the sweetest people ever. I was in so much pain and the dental assistant was so sweet and comforting that I wanted to give her a hug. The dentist was also wonderful and gave me the best treatment options. I spent less than 15 minutes there and he prescribed me some meds that as of now I'm not in any pain and I just left their office about 3 hrs ago. I've been to a few dentist around the city but Allied gave me the best experience. So I recommend them 100 percent. Plus when I called to set up a appointment they scheduled me for the next day and they actually answer the phone.

Dr. Makwana continued to send me to specialists over non issues, and sees root canals where none are required. His staff have been most caring and helpful. I have had some fillings and a root canal done by him, as have my children, and we have have had good experiences (at least as good an an experience involving a root canal might be).

Dr. Mak's use of specialists: he prefers a second opinion on any judgment call, so you're sent out to a specialist in St. Peters who looks at you for 5 minutes and decides how Dr. Mak would proceed. These 5 minutes cost you around $120. I wonder if this is arrangement is really in the patient's best interest, or if it's in the interest of boosting profits.

Overall a clean office with skilled, pleasant staff.

Never really had an encounter with the dentist but i just want to say how unprofessional and rude the receptionist is. Anyone who works at a desk/receptionist should know what a customer service is supposed to be. As soon as she answered the phone, through answering the questions and until we hanged up, she was so rude and giving us an attitude like we are bothering her with all these questions. We were ready to set up an appointment when we called but we just chose not to because of her sour attitude.
