AmeriGas Propane reviews
18I've tried to have my budget bill corrected with no response from the company. In a nutshell, balance is $228 and my budget bill went from $35/mo to $70/mo. But my balance declined for 2024.
Never get advance phone calls or any notice you are coming to my house to deliver gas. Your telephone number gets me someone who does not speak or understand English. I cannot get a correct price for propane. I am told I need to order 245 gallons of gas when my tank will only take about 120 gallons. I will tell everyone NOT to purchase propane from you.
I have learned how to navigate the system after being a customer for few years and after moving and staying with AmeriGas. This is a steep learning curve. It is important to get an experienced representative. All representatives are super kind, but often I experienced a situation where the representative had answers to questions that did not bring about any real solution. I have to be persistent, patient, and kind to see success!
We are trying to contact the company and cant get anyone that we can understand or that can escalate our issue. Barking dogs, background noise and crying babies don't belong in call centers. Up until this point I've loved Amerigas but after today, we are looking for a new provider.
Took me an hour on the phone with various customer care operators who kept directing me to wrong numbers. I finally went back to your. Original number (for the 4th time) and managed to choose the correct button and got the sales department - and they took care of me professionally and quickly. Hope I never have to call you again.
Terrible! I tried to call the Branson office for almost a week to order propane but could never get an answer. I had to order online, which I hate but had no choice. I ordered and paid online, then i get a bill in the mail for over $100.00 more. I don't know what is going on but am very dissatisfied with this company.
I tried calling and phone does not ring. In Branson, price-gouging is the rule. I paid $3.39/gal on my last fill up! State average is $2.24, and Springfield pays $1.98. My neighbor asked them to price-match, and they refused. I’m not going to use my fireplace anymore, until we have bitter cold. I also checked with the BBB—you have an F rating, and I agree completely. Not happy in Branson. Go ahead and publish this. I dare you. But you won’t, of course.
Called to find out why we were being charged almost triple compared to other companies. They left us on hold for 45 mins (til 5pm) and then hung up. We called right back and could only hear a room full of people laughing. Called again to speak with supervisor and was placed on hold again to cancel our service. Still working on getting this done 2 weeks later.
I was over charged then instead of refunding me the difference or refunding me at all, I was charged again for the correct amount. In all I was overcharged by over $619. Now I am having to take off work to go to my bank to Dispute the incorrect charge so I can have my money back, which is costing me even more money for time lost at work! Also, I was told back in July 2023 I would have a locked in rate if $1.59 per gallon for 1 year, no one I speak with on the phone can seem to find that agreement which now the company wants to charge me way over $2 almost $3 per gallon. If things do not get resolved I will take my business to a different company and file a report with the BBB
Just ridiculous that it took 4 monthes to resolve an issue. I had a credit if 160 so I’m sure if I had owed you would of taken care of sooner
My delivery person was patient and professional.
I also spoke to someone about my bill and he was very helpful and professional.
This is the first time I've been home when they have deliver my propane. The service guy was very nice and polite! Great job AmeriGas!
Told by rep how to prepare which I did then was wrong multiple times. I was told wouldn't be charged for regulator and hook up was charged 500. Was told Id get 800 gallons at the introductory price i got 400. Half the representatives I talked to where rude and hate full there was a few that saved your company a customer but the low fill and being charged is making that a hard choice to stay.
Have called since April about the same problem: Why did you take the tank WE OWNED and replace it with one of yours? And how are you going to fix this mess?
Emailing as suggested in the response below got me no answer. Calling the overseas phone bank repeatedly got us no solution. There is no local office to talk to.
8/12/23 update: Finally received a call Tuesday 8/8, after filing a complaint with the BBB. Talked about the situation, then she told me she'd call back in 2 days. Never heard from her again. Meanwhile, we've gotten notice from a collection agency.
The worst company you can imagine! Their billing people don’t have a clue what they are doing! They keep adding bogus charges to my account and for some reason they assume I am paying them! WRONG! This will end up in a law suit! Do not do business with this so called company!
I’ve tried two or more time asking about my refund and have been hung up on both times. It’s not very professional
I have called several times and have been told someone would call me back, several times
I have been charged for three tank pick ups, I do not want them picked up and they were never picked up.
Do not waste your time with this place. Nothing on their website is true, no one answers the phone!
