Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City

Ameristar Hotel was okay. I loved that it wasn’t as crowded at the time of our stay. Was a little disappointed that most places inside the Casino were still closed. But it was a nice relaxing trip. Until I needed an extra outlet and pulled the nightstand back and “holy crap”. Then I noticed The closet door was dusty, when I got the iron. I always take Clorox wipes and Lysol but this should have been cleaned by the house keeping! It was ridiculous!

I went for two days. There wasn't much open, you couldn't do much. Since it was raining the entire time we were there we didn't get out. I couldn't believe a hotel of this size didn't even have a pool. The food options were just ok. Willys and Jose was overpriced for what you got. The food was cold. That left burgers or pizza. The gift shop wasn't even open. The service was ok. The cleanliness was just ok as well. If I had to choose again I dont think I would stay here.

Good place there's a theater and a arcade for kids and the casinos big but dont really win anything

Our experience was fantastic! I have literally never slept better. The beds were super comfortable, room
was clean, check-in staff was very friendly, and the restaurant’s had great food.

We laughed about the carpet looking like a murder scene n the hallways. The other reviews mentioned it, it doesn’t affect your stay. Just a good laugh! The gambling was ok, it wasn’t the focus of our trip. We still had a good time, there are so many machines to choose from!

I would definitely stay here again!
Cons: there needs to be more signs on where to go to elevators in the hotel. We often went the wrong way because there weren’t signs.

Plenty of eateries and pubs to choose from. Casino has a downstairs and an upstairs with plenty of machines and tables to choose from

This place has a super large Truck parking area. Security will come and pick you up and return you. Hotel and casino is beautiful inside and out.

Played blackjack, overall players knew how to play although some dealers were much more pleasant than others.

Another boat to take your money if you stay long enough. Don't even use the free rooms scam. If wanting to dine out, go to a restaurant without slot machines. And definitely avoid using the so call free slots machines coupons mailed to you. It's not entertainment it is all scams to get your attention to the casinos floor.

We only go to movies here. We prefer to enter and exit from doors closest to theater to avoid the smell of smoke. We really enjoy the theater though!

Be careful with valet so they don't lock ur keys in the car and then the tow company takes an hour an a half to get it open. Lol

Beautiful casino with a good cariety if slots, lots of parking, awesome bars & resturants. It even has a movie theater and arcade & kids quest!

Wonderful buffet, prime rib mine was half of a inch thick, plus one plate of shrimp, twice. And pumpkin pie with bread pudding. Much more to add. Awesome. And you can win money

Location is out of way from everything but it is made up for by great service and extra comfy and luxurious rooms!

Strictly using the casino we had a great time. Drinks were reasonable. Never have much luck on slots here. Tables were fun. Always wish they could increase ventilation for people that don't smoke.

We went to the casino to celebrate my birthday. When I went to get my card to gamble the lady was super nice and gave me a happy birthday necklace. Everyone that I interacted with that worked there was very nice and wished me a happy birthday. The slots were kind of boring so I decided to try craps for the first time. The employees working the table were very helpful with trying to explain the game to me. Even the people around me playing were nice and helpful. Overall it was a great time.

While I had never been there before, I am absolutely thrilled with the Thanksgiving dinner buffet at the Ameristar.

Had supper at the Amersports brew pub, when our stoned waitress arrived after 20 minutes of watching tv, we had our food which was hot wings and a patty melt, the wings looked and tasted like they were from a bag of frozen food and warmed in microwave, the patty melt the meat was rubber like and tasted bland and not good at all with spinach dip all for 47 dollars.
Do the servers and staff know the food tastes nasty? First time ever our server was high as a kite, but hey the sweet tea was good.

Make sure when you are booking a room here there isn't a disclaimer stating that your type of room is subject to change. We booked a king online and ended up with a double queen.apparently when selecting a room online you are not always guaranteed that type of room, and you are more or less choosing your preference. The room had a strong odor of fragrance that was over powering and the state of the room was not at all what was advertised online. The casino floor looked nice, was clean and had plenty of restaurants, although we didn't stay to try any of them. So this rating is mainly due to the issues with the room. The staff did charge us full price to cancel the first night but did not charge for the second night, and were apologetic about the issues we had and did offer for us to try a different room. Unfortunately we had already made other arraignments because they initially said they were full and didn't have any non-smoking rooms available.
