Amigo Joe's is on The Hill more or less. It's a great Mexican food place. Better Mexican food than most, and good service. Somehow fried chicken fits into their menu, too. I recommend them!

What type of world are we on when the best fried chicken in the city comes from a Mexican restaurant? The habanero brined fried chicken fantastic. The ground beef for nachos and tacos is also very flavorful.

Always meets expectations. Kinda makes me wish I was a cow. They have 4 stomachs. Chilli Poblanos the best. Go hungry and plan a nap Zzzz

For awhile a friend of mine has been telling me to go to Amigo Joe's, he's always boasted about the food and margs but who doesn't brag about their favorite Mexican restaurant? He was right! We've been 3 times in 3 weeks. Inside or on the patio you'll receive fast, accommodating and all around great service. I got the seafood burrito and it was amazing, large shrimp and fat peices of lobster bathed in queso and verde sauce. We got a pitcher of frozen watermelon margaritas and they were strong. Also we couldn't finish and they let me take the rest to go. Bill came out to 50 dollars for 2 adult meals a kids plate and margs which is crazy cheap. I recommend this to anyone who wants a great meal, great drink and great service.

The fried chicken is some of the best in town. I think it was better than Hodaks. The margaritas are great, too. The food came fast (as fast as fresh fried chicken can be) and our server was friendly and wore her mask properly the entire time I saw her. Can't wait to go back.

Great hospitality and wonderful food! My 12 year old said, "That the burrito was as if it was cooked by God. " My chimichanga was wonderful and made 2 yummy meals!

Service was a bit slow, but this was the first time we've been and the waiter seemed new. Food was absolutely delicious though, worth the wait! Habanero chicken and hawaiian quesadilla at where it's at! Kids meals are overpriced though.

Restaurant had a good range of options and had quick service, but lighting was too dark and with differing levels of floor height it should be brighter.

I would have liked to had my own chips and salsa basket, as though I was with a group of people and I didn't feel comfortable sharing, because of the covid

Usually this place is amazing. Lately though the food has been soso overly cooked food, some food did not have all the ingredients listed on the menu and our plain fried wings were drowned in the most saltiest buffalo sauce imaginable. They don't have physical menus anymore, and our waitress was all over the place forgetting food and sides. Not checking on our table and serving other customers with our food in her hands. The other wait staff was just sitting around the bar. Plus we had a party of 5 meaning we needed a booth but we were seated at a table literally made for a party of 2. I would not go here anymore

My go to spot in the hill for Mexican. Hands down great food and margaritas with a kick.

Recommending: Tamales with a side of queso and a corona-rita to wash it down! Boom!

Best carnitas! Cheese dip, salsa. Margaritas. Nice outdoor patio. We came from Wentzville, well worth the trip! I can't say enough good things about this new find!

I ordered take out which was quick and convenient. I don't think I can dine inside because most of the lights are colored and Spanish music blaring too much. I will however eat outside.
I really wish they would put a medium container of salsa to go with the bag of chips with the order.

The food is just fine, however, if you are at all concerned with your safety and health, then maybe this isn't the best place to visit. Recently, I witnessed a total stranger (no mask) walk right up next to a man in line to pay and put his hand on that man. That man immediately became upset and asked to see a manager. The manager told the man to just pay his bill and leave. Nothing was ever said to the guy who violated social distancing and put his hands on someone else during a pandemic. At least on this occasion, the staff didn't see to care much about safety protocols at all.

The guac, cheese dip, and salsa is very good. But we went for the fried chicken and we were not disappointed! A huge portion for a great price, then drained and cooked to perfection. My husband got the spicy I got regular. The sides left much to be desired but I'll definitely be young back for the chicken.

Best chimichangas in town. Phenomenal, friendly service, unbeatable prices, and outstanding cuisine. Amigo Joe's is my go-to for any occasion.

Ordered the chimichanga. It was soggy and bland. I'm not a fan of TexMex just mushing around the same 5 ingredients. But I love an authentic Mexican restaurant. Big difference. Real Mexican fare is regional soups, creative meat fish and fowl dishes with distinct flavors. I might go back to try the fried chicken and margaritas others have complimented. Other than that, I don't care to repeat my first experience.
