Antique Mall of Creve Coeur, St. Louis MO

Large mall, good variety of quality antiques, a wide range of prices, something for every budget. We spent a couple of hours happily finding treasures around every corner. Clean, well-lit, most stalls well-organized and arranged prettily.

We've shopped here many times over the last few years, but today will be the last time. We got there a little after 5pm knowing the store closed at 6pm. We quickly browsed through the store, finding a few things along the way. At 5: 25pm they started their closing announcements. That's cool, still have 35 minutes left to shop, so we picked up the pace. At 5: 40 they made another announcement saying they were closing in 15 minutes. I started making my way towards the front of the store to checkout. There were a couple of people already in front of me so I thought I was good. It was 5: 50pm. 10 minutes until the posted 6pm close time. The lady who checked me out called me over and rudely told me that "we're already closed so I don't have to sell you these things. That's why we make the announcement at 5: 45. " I was appalled. Such a rude way to greet a customer, who for all they knew was a new customer! I worked in retail for MANY years and wow, I would never have dreamed to have treated a customer as rudely as I was treated today. Not only was I shocked but I was embarrassed. I don't like being called out in public, and for an employee to do that to a customer who is merely checking out and paying for their items 10 minutes before closing time. Just wow. "Well, I don't have to buy these things, " I said once I regained my ability to speak. "Oh, I know! " The lady said. I went ahead and paid because I did actually want the items.

They shut off the lights at 5: 55pm and immediately locked the door behind us. We got to our car and it hadn't even turned 6pm yet.

The worst customer service experience I've ever experienced. We won't be returning. There's plenty of other cordially staffed antique stores in the area.

A very big antique mall with lots of variety. My biggest complaint is the sections aren't kept well organized so things are thrown in piles which makes it hard to find things

Today I was on a mission. Disappointing when what you are looking for isn't there. Much better experience when you are open to anything so a find is a real treat.

It takes a lot in order for me to take my precious time to write a review, but I am telling you what I wouldn’t step foot back in the store if someone paid me to go into it.

For one, this is not an antique store. It is more like a flea market. But I could deal with that. It is the manager/owner Rene who needs to find another line of work if she is going to treat the customers like trash.

I kindly asked her today if she would please call one of the renters and ask if they would come down $25 on an item that said it was in perfect condition but yet half of the stereo Console did not work. She spoke to me like I was a child. She was extremely rude and when I nicely said I’m sorry that my questions had frustrated her she got even more loud and rude.

I asked three people there if they could please take my name and number and when they found out if the stereo Console was working or if the renter would come down in price to please call me. They said they don’t take people’s names and numbers.

The place definitely needs to learn manners, customer service, and they need to clean up their booths and actually sell some antiques.

Very unfriendly and rude people running this shop. Booths are junky looking and crammed with stuff. Although some of the inventory is good the atmosphere is poor and it needs a total facelift and better management.

Dissapointing. Sought this mall out with a girlfriend last weekend. Staff was rude when we walked in. Not a welcoming environment. I bought a few things but not like I usually do at antique stores. I just don't know why the staff was so hateful. They were tizzied when there was one person in line. It was a little hurtful.

My impression of this mall has continued to go down hill. I usually stop in every few weeks (for the last few years) when I am in the area. The inventory/booths/ dealers have just grown so stale. It's the same people and the same junk every visit. There ARE a few great dealers that rotate inventory and bring in some great stuff. But the majority of the dealers are so dull. It's the same mugs, same household stuff from Walmart 10+ years ago, same costume jewelry same everything as the dozens of times I have been in before. The booths are either over stuffed or basically empty.
Several months back I asked how long the waiting list was and was given some crazy time frame giving me the impression there are new/ more people wanting to come in. THAT WOULD BE GREAT. EXCEPT! I did notice this booth (pictured- possibly 115? There was a 5) was new since I was in last. A great double size, perfect location and ideal lighting. All junk. The prices were ok on some things but I kid you not this guy must shop the same garage sales as I do because I'm pretty sure I've seen all this stuff in 'free boxes' at the curb. Nothing suitable for an 'Antique Mall'. Is there no screening process?

I just find it hard to believe this Mall is actually making money. Really dissapointing since general grant closed and St. Marys is now closed. We're limited now and this is really the best that can be done here?

The staff here is always very friendly. They have a very eclectic and broad selection of items to choose from. Different time periods. Different tastes, different flavors, different everything. If you can’t find it there you probably don’t really need it. If you’re looking for something specific, the staff is more than willing to help you out.

Rude staff behind the counter at about 12 pm. I left the items I was going to purchase and walked out.

I went to the store today because I have a very big passion in antique things. I was having a really great time because I found the things there highly interesting and affordable, but it was up until the owner of that place came to me and some of my friends and kicked us out. Alright, I would get it if I was loud or was mixing things up. But I really was just shopping, I was polite with all the other customers and workers. The manager was very rude and mean to us. She wanted to take my friends' things out of their hands even though they were really excited to buy it. Very cool stuff, but very bad and unwelcoming manager. Do not recommend this place.

My friend was kicked out of here for no reason. Although the interior and quantity are good, the staff needs to sort out the flaws in their workers. Would not recommend.

She kicked out people from the store! Why she is doesn't give reason for kicking out? Super awful manager! She needs to be fired! But that will never happen, unfortunately. Stuff in the store are good, but after that I will never return!

The "lady" who is the manager is very rude and unprofessional. Never recommend this store.
