Antojos El Korita reviews
15The food was fresh made from scratch, authentic and delicious! When we went we experienced excellent customer service and an awesome family friendly atmosphere. Will definitely be returning!
Go here for the tacos not the atmosphere. The tacos are literally some of the best I have ever had. We have traveled several times to Mexico and my husband and I joked that if we want a cheap "vacation" we have to come back here because the food is amazing. The salsa was not but ask for the "green stuff" it is so much better. The tortillas are handmade by the way. YUM! The service was great. Go here to eat not for the ambiance.
So I’m new to Kansas City, MO (11/15/23). I was in search for a place to eat lunch and seen Antojos El Korita with great reviews. I have to say this restaurant has true authentic Mexican food! The owner and cook (mother & daughter) are wonderful with amazing hospitality and very friendly. You will not be disappointed at all! Don’t miss out.
We wait for our food for about an hour and our drinks never got refilled, plus a was a fly in my drink and they still charge me for it

If you are looking for authentic Mexican food, this is the place to go.
The food was delicious, and something I really loved is that it is cooked fresh when you order. This may take a little longer than some like to wait, but I don’t mind at all knowing I’m getting something freshly made.
I had three tacos. One carne asada, one adobada and one birria with the salsa verde and every bite was delicious.
My husband got the sopes and he was very satisfied, the sopes were big.
Our waitress was great as well, very attentive and personable.
Don’t miss out on this place!
This place is flipping delicious. First time here. I feel like I’m back in El Paso, best Mexican food I’ve tasted since I left there. Kind people and damn excellent.
Was very dissatisfied with this place for one I'm very allergic to fish and they fry the fries in same oil as they do the fish you could clearly taste it, the deep fried taco was so hard you couldn't eat it, they charge you 9.50 for one small margarita. And the waitress was very very rude. Do not recommend this place at all. The worst place I've ever went to.
I wish I could give this 4.5 stars instead of 4, but I can't give it 5. This hole-in-the-wall place, in not the most attractive neighborhood in the metro, has been on my radar for several months and we finally got to check it out. The place seemed clean-no bad smells or filled with food odors-but did notice the young man wrapping silverware in napkins had just finished scraping leftover food from plates, and hadn't washed his hand in between these tasks. Not a biggie, but not a five star performance. We were initially underwhelmed by the salsa that comes with the complimentary chips. It has little no flavor, and was as spicy as ketchup. However, the food was very good, and the quesadilla I ordered was one of the best I've ever had-and definitely the thickest. The ingredients all tasted fresh. This is not the greatest Mexican restaurant in the metro, but probably the best we've eaten at on the east side. Like others have stated, the service here is slow, but possibly due to not having food prepared before orders are taken.
A real hidden gem! The place has a fairly pared down menu, but everything they do they do well! I love the quesabirria most of all. But this winter I'll be having some of their soups!
Food is definitely worth the wait you have for your food. Yeah u have a wait, but that because it's made fresh with every order an it has the best flavors! 100% recommend
This place was super yummy and the ladies were super sweet. First time for us definitely wont be the last. Rated #1 in my book.
Went here for the first time today I live close by. Some of the best Mexican food in independence. Very authentic. You can tell everything was made fresh and not in a microwave! Good service and homemade tortillas. If you go you won’t regret it
