AOK Campground & RV Park reviews
19The rv park is beautiful and well maintained. A very scenic park. The sites were fairly spacious. Our site #9 was not so level. It had a definite downhill slope.
We stayed in the wagon and it was beautiful and so peaceful and relaxing if you want something fun to do with the kids or even just you and your partner you should check it out they have a swimming pool and playground and fishing and the owners are friendly
I really wanted to give 5 stars but the road noise is very noticeable and constant. You can't see the interstate but you can hear it. Lots of great trees, things for the kids and the BEST dog park I have ever seen!
The sites are roomy.ponds full of algae. Sites need more gravel, a mud hole if it rains. Over a mile of dirt road to get to the campground.
Great little campground. Yes there is a gravel road to get to it but that is not a problem. They are super friendly, clean, and even shared thier tomatoes with us. Definitely recommend.
Off the beaten path (dirt road) for sure! Spacious sites. Decent price. Nice owners. Huge dog park WITH GRASS!
Pool could have been cleaner (dark ring around the tile of the pool) and available as it was REALLY HOT (middle of July) and we could have used it for sure.
Hopefully since the new owners are in the process of improvements, it will shine like a diamond some day soon.
Bathrooms are very clean but not easily accessible. Up hill over wet grass. Otherwise a good stay. Staff was friendly.
We did not use rooms but campsite was efficient had full hook up for the RV for a great price. About $27 less than a KOA and has amenities. Cool looking Covered Wagon you could rent. We were arriving late and the owner left the site map on the door just like she said she would.
We had a very pleasant stay at the AOK Campground. Restrooms and showers were clean as well as the laundry room. The owners are working hard, adding adminaties to help making your camping experience nice. The campground cookout was a special treat while we were there. Will definitely stay there again while in St. Joseph.
A nice little campground close to St. Joe, neighbors were friendly and we really enjoyed that there was a dog park
We only stayed one night with our grandson and it was great very quiet and very peaceful and and Lena was very helpful we had a nice departure in the morning with good weather. We would not hesitate to stay there again maybe for a longer stay.
Enjoyed this campground. Several kid activities. Showers clean. Swimming pool great for the hot day! Cool seating area by the pond. They have fish and release which we didn't do but is available.
The park is very clean, except for the goose droppings! It's just 1/2 mile gravel road off the hwy, so you hear that traffic. Didn't use the showers, laundry, or restrooms. Our site, #2, was pretty level. They're all gravel. Spacing is good.
Pleasant little campground conveniently close to I-29 and all of the activities St. Joseph has to offer. For the price, $40 per night with Good Sam discount, it included full hook-ups and a shady site. The owners are very friendly and helpful and keep it immaculately clean. Being small, it is easy to keep an eye on the kids even from the campsite. There is a small pool that is clean and well maintained as well as two fishing ponds. There is also a fenced dog park. The only downsides, which can not be controlled by the owners, are the highway noise and long dirt road leading to AOK. The ponds had a lot of algae, which made it somewhat difficult for kids to fish. The sites are back to back so we didn't open our back-side blinds but there was ample space in the front. Overall, we really enjoyed our four day stay and would definitely go back.
We spent a single night and had a good time. The place was clean. The RV site we were in was not level which was fun to level the camper.
Situated conveniently close to Interstate 29 by St. Joseph, MO, this is a well kept RV park with friendly and helpful owners. A hiking trail, catch and release fishing lake, and a beautiful setting are just extras to the amenities that you expect to see, but they have those also. They have a large playground, dog park, laundry, bath house with private showers, swimming pool, full hookups, and pull through sites. Everything is kept VERY clean. I love the large trees in between most of the RV spaces for their beauty as well as their shade. Reasonable prices. We'll definitely stop here again.
Very nice campground, clean and pet friendly, well kept, and the owners are very sweet. Definitely would stay again
Nice, quiet, clean RV Park. The pool was small, but clean and full of fun floating toys for anyone to play with.
