I want to take this time and thank you for all your team did during my moms last few days at home. Everyone that came to the house was awesome in the care they gave her and the office personnel was and still is a pleasure to work with through this emotional time for my family. If I had to do this ever again, which I pray never happens, I would call again for your assistance. Thanks again

Abbey and the entire team did a wonderful job helping with my aging in-laws. They were flexible, helpful, and gracious. The caregiver Barbara was fantastic: productive, knowledgeable, patient, and caring. She gave my mother-in-law showers and other personal care, and went above and beyond helping with household chores as well. She cleaned out their overflowing refrigerator of expired and rotten food, found the bleach in the house, and disinfected the whole thing in a single visit! Thanks, Barbara! Really wonderful. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

There are not enough words to adequately express my gratitude and pleasure with Assistance Home Healthcare. Everyone we dealt with was extremely caring and sincere. For the six months prior to my mom's passing away, we had in-home healthcare from AHC. My mom was 102 years old, had dementia and some physical problems. Because of AHC, she was able to stay in her home for those six months. AHC was recommended to us by a social worker. They came to my mom's home to meet her and talk with us. We immediately liked what they had to offer. We can not say enough about Mom's care taker, Sherri Bitter. She was so kind and caring and gentle with my mom. The whole family got to know her and love her. Mom could not have been in better hands when we weren't able to be with her. Thank you Sherri for everything you did for Mom. She loved you! Also, thank you to Karen Gotlieb who filled in for Sherri for a period of time. Karen was also very good to my mom. I so very highly recommend this company! They worked very closely with us, making sure we were satisfied and happy with Mom's care and even made home visits to see how things were going. Thank you Kevin Kennedy, Abbey Kister, Jack Serfas, Emerald Heembrock, Erin Hollandsworth, Jessica Sunnenberg, and especially Sherri and Karen. I apologize if I missed anyone. I saw your sign on Manchester Rd saying you won an award in 2022. I needed help with a family member. I took a chance and contacted you. The staff and management were unbelievable. Quick response to an uncertain situation.

We had Assistance Home Care take care of my dad for about 6 weeks while we were looking for a skilled nursing facility for him. My dad enjoyed the company and the caregivers were very kind. I was happy with how helpful and responsive the office was as well. If there was a last minute change in schedules they were always on top of it.
I would use them again.

Excellent experience working with Assistance Home Care to help care for my 93 year old mom. The entire team from caregivers to the administrative team is friendly, helpful and professional. Due to dementia, Mom has lived in our home for over five years. So grateful to Assistance Home Care for listening, understanding Mom’s needs and providing experienced caregivers. The caregivers were prompt, attentive and made Mom comfortable and happy. Communication was excellent and the billing process is easy. Our family recently had a loved one needing possible home care. Naturally, we had a lot of questions and emotions were high. Erin was so very patient and kind when discussing care options and explaining things to us. She was so thorough in covering everything and left no question unanswered. Unfortunately, we unable to utilize their services, as we found out later hospice was our only option. But we really appreciate Erin and how willing she was to take the time to guide us through this uncharted territory.

DANGEROUS, NEGLECTFUL, UNSKILLED

*At the onset of Covid AHC told us that if we wanted their staff to wear masks, we would have to provide them ourselves!

*Almost half of our care team contracted Covid and my mother had to be repeatedly taken for testing due to exposure from THEIR employees.

*As the death toll rose and AHC finally agreed to provide and mandate masks, they were continuously worn incorrectly or not at all. Cameras needed to be installed to assure us that staff complied to protocol.

*AHC called our family stating we should gather to say our goodbyes to our loved one. Upon arriving and finding my mother happy and fine, it was later determined to be a miscommunication by AHC staff member.

*Multiple absences and untrained subs were dropped in with little to no training on details such as oxygen or medication.

*Multiple doctor and therapy appointments were missed due to negligence of staff. After paying multiple missed appointment fees, AHC agreed to pay them.

*Client fell and hit her head while staff was in the next room watching TV.

*Client was left lying in soiled sheets until the next shift arrived.

*Employee had no experience on safe transportation to bath or shower.

AHC created constant stress and worry. Do not put a loved one in their hands.

Assistance Home Care came to my parents' aid after our father came home after having two strokes. The caregivers were compassionate, efficient, and caring, The management is responsive and there for you when you need them. The schedulers are flexible and reliable. Did we have a bump or two - it's a people business - so that is inevitable - but overall I'm happy to recommend them

Our healthcare provider has demonstrated excellent personal interactive skills while providing showers for my husband. We are both pleased with her services. She has a caring attitude and is gentle with my husband. She has shown extra care in providing for his skin care issues. We are very pleased and would have Erica back anytime.
