Avis Car Rental, St. Louis MO

DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!

My husband and I needed a car to move from STL. We booked online in advance for 1 to 2 days of a full rental. After waiting SEVERAL hours on moving day to even pickup our rental-Someone messed up our reservation and booked and charged us for 11 days worth of renting! This happened in office and it took weeks to have the hold removed from our card due to Avis' error. Today, we received noticed from COLLECTIONS that they sent their fraudulent bill for us to pay! We have extensive proof that the error is not our fault, but from the people that work at this location. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!

Very slow service. It should NOT take an hour to drop off and pick up a rental, ever. They were very adamant about the car being clean but when I got in my rental, it had french fries in the car seat. LOL. Mediocre service AT best.

They really need to fire that lady Jacqueline, she’s extremely incompetent and don’t think she has good vision so she can’t see the screen. What should have been a quick pick up ended up being one hour back and forth. She told me to call customer service in the store, WHY DO I NEED TO DO THIS WHEN YOU WORK AT THE STORE. UNTIL SHE IS FIRED DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!

Mrs. Jacquelyn was kind, knowledgeable and very helpful. I’d highly recommend renting from this location.

Avis/Budget changed their credit card policy, but didn't update customers with active reservations pending. Almost ruined my trip to STL. Thank God for Uber!

If i could 0 star i would.been waiting over 1 and half just to get to front of que.staff are very rude and car unclean. DO NOT USE

Desk staff was very helpful. Car was clean and well maintained. Exactly what I needed at a good price.

The lady at the front desk was super nice, but it took more than 30 minutes with here because the computer crashed multiple times. In addition to that, the car was not clean from the inside and there was no window wiper cleaner liquid in the car.

Avis/Budget is extremely poor in keeping their vehicles clean. Upon pick up it was super dirty inside and out. Plus no windshield washing liquid. This is twice I rented and never again.

Would have gave them 0 stars if I could. I do NOT recommend this location. Never had any problems with any rental places until I rented from this place! Do not trust them Alamo near the airport has a better selection of cars and more professional

It was very helpful when a customer service agent changed my reservation to a more convenient location for me. I wasn't on hold very long while trying to make the change. It was an easy process. The counter agent was courteous, and it didn't take long for me to receive my rental. It helped to be a preferred member.

Haris and the other worker with Avis were very nice to me and my daughter. When we arrived at the Amtrak station Enterprise let us down and I called Avis they came right on and picked us up and I can't thank them enough. Will recommend Avis hands down to everyone for car rental needs.

I've been renting with Haris Vlahovljak on 811 Spruce St. Outside of Westin Hotel. I am beyond amazed how this man makes me his top propriety as his repeat customer every year when I go to Florida on my family vacation. He makes sure all my rental needs are met before I go to my vacation. He is the best and I tell everyone about his location. Haris is my number 1 in my book. Thank you very much.

Had alot of issues beyond control of the rental agency but Harris did everything he could to fix the problem. Thanks again bother.

I just returned a rental. With the understanding that I will be charged $51 per extra day. I went and returned the rental and got charged $833 in miscellaneous fees that can't be explained. I will not rent again from Avis or recommend and this coming from a loyal business customer for years now

I had to walk around the whole block to find the place, I think signage would be very helpful. The place tagged in maps is the incorrect one. But it is in that section. Take the road that loops through the buildings on 9th or Spruce and it's the lone building. Check in was fast and friendly. Debit cards are not accepted at this location. The cars are a quick walk across the street. I was also not given a walk around the car, so I took pictures of any previous damage just in case. I was given a 2020 Toyota Corolla. It was a really nice car. Gets great gas mileage and drives smooth. I returned it a day early at no charge, but also not refunded anything. When you return it you return it in that small little road area and it can be busy with other cars so just be warned.
