Avis Car Rental, St Peters MO

The was my first and last rental with Avis. I made a reservation to drive one way from Saint Charles to Houston on their website. When I arrived in Houston I checked my reservation and notice it no longer says Houston as my return location, but Saint Charles instead. They are charging me $500 for their error. The car I drove was a black Jeep Grand Cherokee and smelled like smoke and booze. They even had air fresheners in the car to help out. Want to know who is getting charged for it? Me - $250 after I already reported it to their customer service team. I don’t smoke or drink, I’m a homebody with cats. So my $120 trip turned into $870 trip and I can’t get their customer service team to respond properly. I will never use Avis again and I will be sure that I tell this story to as many people as I can. This is absolutely insane when I did nothing wrong.

Very friendly staff when I picked up the vehicle and dropped it off. Extending my rental was also super easy. Avis made my business trip experience more enjoyable and comfortable. Thanks Avis!

The vehicle was very raggidy. Breaks were bad, a lot of damage to the exterior of the Vehicle, smelled like smoke and to top it off it was less than a half a tank when picking it up. Also, the people working inside will only take certain credit cards. I have major credit cards (not prepaid or debit) with various of companies and before I could even pull out my credit card they gave me a list of reputable credit card companies they don’t use. Thank god I had an American Express. Lastly, I tried to contact them to extend my rental one additional day and couldn’t get ahold of them. Turned my vehicle in one day late and they charged me 4 times the rate for a car. Like really? !? I will NEVER come here again!

The selection of available cars and customer service was top notch! It was a very quick and painless experience. The car we rented was in perfect condition and clean. It was nice to have the whole process done with such great customer service. We will definitely be renting from this location again.

The car got a flat tire in 103 degree heat. When I removed the tire the metal was exposed all around the tire. When I called customer care I was told I could drive the car 20 miles to an Avis dealer or replace the tire and I might receive a refund for the tire! Turns out the car had a severe front end alignment which caused the tire to wear down on the inside.

Excellent service and was guaranteed a vehicle at 10 very prompt. Never a disappointment when coming here staff is always on their game

Have always had a very good experience with Avis. We rent every year for our vacation. The vehicle is always clean, full on gas, and waiting when we arrive to pick up. The staff has also been very good to deal with, Always been pleasant. Will rent again next year if not sooner. Thank you Avis
