The crew at Axleboy Offroad have built 5 different off road vehicles for us. They took to time to listen to what we wanted to do. They put a package and build plan together. Sometimes they put together plans to do multiple stages to fit the budget. Truly a pleasure to work with. You will want these folks to build your next Truck, Jeep, or SUV. Truly a first class operation.

Used these guys to make a few modifications to my Jeep. They did an excellent job, had excellent communication and were able to work well with my insurance company. Would use them again if I wanted any additional work done on my Jeep.

Axleboy did a fantastic job working on my 98 Land Rover Discovery 1. It needed a lot of work; they fixed all the oil leaks (which was pretty much every oil gasket), replaced the front bumper with a hard to find ARB bumper, new winch, all new steel wheels & tires, new oxygen sensors, new axle & pinion seals, new water pump etc etc; the attention to detail was excellent, they even cleaned & repainted the axle hubs; this thing drives like new and I have since driven across the country twice without incident; I cannot recommend them enough

I've had the team at Axleboy work on two of my vehicles, and have had a great experience both times. Very professional and timely, and the quality of their work is top notch!

Crooks! Under newer ownership. Snake oil operation. Was charged $3,500 for a clutch-on an 08' Jeep Wrangler. When asked to see an itemized bill was told I need to pay first. Over $1,000 in overages - that were not agreed upon originally. When leaving the shop after paying, I traveled 4 miles before I realized-they let me drive off- completely out of radiator fluid!
Was told it would be $1,000 to fix, even though it was not leaking when it was dropped off! I couldn't make this stuff up LOL!
Had it towed to Firestone who told me a hose had been disconnected. Commissioned salesman make it very hard to get the best possible service. Would recommend MOUNTAIN TOP in Troy Missouri. Worth the drive!

*** 6/9/23*** In response, no such video was ever provided on coolant issue. Was left with zero coolant, had to call AAA again and have them tow it, after I was told it would cost $1,000 to fix coolant issue. Firestone mentioned that a hose was disconnected, and was never given an invoice prior to payment. Axleboy was originally opened years ago off of cave springs and Trumann and was a very good company then. Indeed they have been under new ownership for some time from the original. This is my sixth Jeep, and most definitely the last time I'll use or recommend Axleboy. I also see that Axleboy has gone from 4.8 stars to 4.4 stars in a matter of a couple of months! This solidifies my review.
***Please take heed to my warning ️ if you're reading this do not use Axleboy****

Set an appointment 3 weeks out for their team to find a creak/clunking in the front end. Paid the $185 diagnostic fee they they said it was bc the front end wasn’t torqued to spec. Alright paid the $150 an hour fee for them to tq the front end and for the noise to still be there… these guys have a shop filled with tools and techs but they were too busy telling me what I need to buy and upgrade when they couldn’t find the darn clunk. The noise was there from the “factory” and still there after my upgrades. Come on guys double check the work and do what your promised.

Super friendly, knowledgeable shop. They have both male and female staff, so they definitely make sure you're comfortable (which I can appreciate!) I know next to nothing about cars, but they didn't make me feel dumb, and they didn't try to swindle me. They've got a great family-friendly environment and are even run by a father and his kids. Can't recommend this place enough!

Would highly recommend this company, communication has been awesome, when my wife and I purchased our 2012 Jeep wrangler we new there would be some issues. When we took it Axelboy off-road they went beyond our expectations and made the process easier for us to handle. Hats off to everyone there, great job
Thanks

They did alot of for me but every time they had something else broke costing in cash lots of money and time. It would have been nice if they were willing to help replace what they break. Keep all receipts like I have

Axleboy put on an IMS Dobinson lift on my 3rd gen Tacoma and I couldn’t be happier. They did a great job and also were helpful in educating me along the way.

Had a custom build done by Tommy purely to make my Grand Cherokee a bit more aggressive. I grew up in a Jeep dealership and am overly picky with anything related to cars and he hit the nail on the head simply by me explaining the look and some specs. I cannot think of another shop I'd trust for this type of work.

They completed an inspection on a Jeep Wrangler I will be selling. They gave me a list of after-market enhancements I have on the vehicle and an idea of what it could sell for. They did what they said they were going to do with little prodding. Nice people but unimpressive….

Steve at Axleboy saved the day with a rear end seal and rebuild kit on my Jeep Wrangler 392. They worked me in the next morning and got me back on the road to Denver.

Thanks to all that was involved in the repairs, I made it back with no issues.

Recently had some work done on my 2021 Jeep Wrangler at Axleboys. First I had a lift kit installed. I picked up my vehicle everything seemed fine and definitely looked good. But I guess looks are deceiving!

It was just a matter of time that I began to get vigorous shaking when I reached a certain speed. I gave axelboys a call and they told about the situation, it was explained that this can happen. They then suggested additional service. I simple asked why additional service wasn’t suggested. The shaking happened on the highway and I had my 2 year old. Scary and Dangerous! The additional service suggested was Specifically to stop the shaking. Again, I simple asked if this comes with the lift why wasn’t it recommended. The answer I received was “ not sure “ the person that worked on your vehicle no longer works here. I expressed how that answer was unacceptable. I took my vehicle back to get the the recommended service. While they had my vehicle they called and recommended more service. I again asked “ why wasn’t this recommended when I dropped my vehicle off to you, if it’s so important or why wasn’t it in original quote “ Ofcourse I wasn’t given a clear answer.

I then received another call saying to add more services, I declined and said “ not at this time (it was because the gates tire was heavy and I may need new hinges).

Now I have my vehicle back and it’s saying I need service I’m getting a message in regards to stability control! Remind you my vehicle was with axel boy for several days after service while on vacation. Now I have to take my vehicle back. Stop working / or take off work and figure out how to get a rental for a day to get the Jeep serviced again.

It’s such an inconvenience. Although if I bring the vehicle back I was told “ to look at it will be free “ I’m afraid they will find something else and I’ll be in a Jam. I’ve spent over or very close to 10k with the company. I’m feeling bamboozled. This look will probably turn into a massive bill.

I personally feel like all what if’s should be stated up front, no one should be getting phone calls that add thousands to service especially if it’s usually recommended. Or it’s a known thing that happens next due to requested service. No vehicle should be sent home not knowing any all what ifs. The shaking has completely stopped since 2nd service, but it could’ve been prevented in the first place!

Now my steering wheel isn’t straight and I have to take my vehicle back! I don’t have another dime to extend to this company. I feel like they wanted to do initial work then just have me keep coming back for more services. Anytime I’ve been to companies in the past everything and all what ifs were fully explained and I could accept or deny.

Here they just send you home and you wait on things to happen and have customers bring it back. I feel like a test dummy and definitely come out of pocket more than expected. I honestly feel like full scope should’ve been given from day one. The way information is presented I’m given information in bits and pieces where I have no choice but to get the work done.
