Barnhouse's Crazy Music Store reviews
7 I've been in town since Ken Shepard of Sound Farm and other notable notices of note, first opened Crazy Music, back in the day. I personally just shared a good rapport with Ken. And Since Mr. Barnhouse took over, well, Ken's presence was sorely missed, but. I came in one day and Bill was humming a tune and making freaky-fun remarks, in the same way many freakies used to back in the day, also. And I was immediately, "Feeling Alright;" unlike Joe Cocker.
Anyway, h es always been help ful, fun, friendly and knowledgeable with whatever I came in with. He usually has everything I need. I've come in several times, last minute, before a gig, missing and needing some bizarre little " something, " Pronto. I can't think of a time when he didn't have it.
His prices on new accessories are a little higher, but he also has a good variety of used equipment for sale, too at reasonable prices. I walked in on AL Jolley in the showroom, a few years ago, trying out an acoustic guitar amplifier. I liked what I heard, so I grabbed a djembe and started jamming along. He liked what I was doing and we ended up jamming almost 2 hours, in Bill's showroom. Bill didn't mind at all. He actually seemed to like it. I appreciated that a lot. Barnhouse Crazy Music is a pretty good place with a pretty good proprietor.
The only thing crazy in this shop is Bill.
Horrible experience with him: he was rude, unprofessional and apparently has too many customers to accept business from people getting married and want to rent more than 1000 dollars worth of instruments mics, amps mixer table and speakers.we ended up going to someone else in Columbia who actually was extremely helpful. In some way we're delighted because we didn't spend a dime to dear Mr. Bill
If you answer Bill, turns out we DID know what we want and it made perfect sense to a professional who actually knows his job! ;)
The store smelled like cigarettes, they didn't have basic nylon guitar strings instock. Everything was priced high, the used guitars were filthy and un polished. Bill just dosen't care about the store anymore. Sad.
Good store to get what you need, especially if you dont want to pay an arm and a leg to get your Axe set up to rock and roll all night
What a great shop. This is what music stores are supposed to be. Knowledge staff, assortment of this and thats to poke around and discover that next piece you need to have.
Great knowledgeable service. Great prices. Would never go anywhere else.
Nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there. Too much stuff
