Bays-ET High Speed Internet reviews
16Extremely unhappy with this service. Intermittent internet service at best. This past storm caused 4 days without internet and counting
Experiencing incredibly slow speeds - 1/3 of what I'm supposed to receive. Called customer support and was told I had a weak signal. This is after years of being told to unplug and restart the modem. Customer support promised me a return call from the lead installer within 24 hours. It's been three weeks since then. Awful. Awful. Awful.
The actual service is supersub-par at best. If there was any other option at all, and i mean AT ALL, I would leave in a heartbeat. DO NOT RELY FOR BUSINESS USE! They have a contract with rural Wildwood to provide internet and they can't even come close to their promises. CROOKS!
Absolutely terrible across the board. It will actually make you miss the cable and satellite companies.
Being able to have highspeed internet let me be more flexible with my programing needs.bye bye directv.and the techs seem to have the patience of an old jewish grandmother. Great job guys and gals!
ANYONE IN ROBERTVILLE NOTICE SLOW SERVICE TO NONE UP AND DOWN INTERNET OR OFF FOR DAYS ALL OF A SUDDEN AFTER YEARS OF RARE ALL DAY OUTAGES AND FEW SLOW DAYS. WAS WONDERING IF BAYS GOING ALL TO WILDWOOD AND GAVE UP ON ROBERTSVILLE, LONDELL AREA NO OTHER PROVIDERS WE DOOMED.
If you need an internet company that is unreliable and very slow, I’d definitely chose this one. I’ve been attempting to get help with my service and I just get told that I will get a call back. And of course no call back. I called again and was told that I would get a call back. Still nothing. I can’t even get ahold of this company to cancel my service. So like I said, If you need terrible internet service with even worse customer service this is who you need.
Called about my phone not working. Travis said my call would be sent to Ryan there lead tech and I would hear back asap and I never heard anything back. Now they are closed. Terrible.
Awesome company for internet. Have had them for over 8 yrs. Respond quickly to any issues or technical errors.
I purchased bass Internet about three months ago I haven’t had any issues with it in my area I don’t get very good service and they told me it wouldn’t be the best they told me it would be a good customer service that’s why I left my last Internet provider my Internet goes out on the 30th of December i’ve called them multiple times to get updates nobody has any answers and nobody wants to tell me anything but they do keep taking your money are you getting somebody on the phone telling you that you will get a call back eventually
This is the price you pay to live in the semi-rural country, your internet service options are "bad" and "worse", not sure which one this is. I pay for "Platinum" service, 15 Mbps up/2 Mbps down. I get that level of service about half the time. But basically your only other option is satellite which is even more overpriced and has "data plans". At least they don't have that issue. So what can you do, besides pray for the day somebody decides to run fiber to our neck of the woods?
Update, my network self checks speeds daily and it has not registered the high side of 10 Mbps in a month and a half. Typically in the 4-7 range, for the price of 15. Actively pursuing other options because they're clearly ripping people off by not delivering what they pay for.
Even in the best of times you don't even get half the speed you pay for. I often can't load a speed test when I want to see how bad it is. More often than not it's unusable and I have to resort to using my phone, but then you use up your data and get your speed throttled. Totally unhelpful customer service. They come out and ask if you turned your router off and back on and when you tell them yes they don't bother to fix the real issue. Hopefully competition will come to town and drive them out. If there was any competition at all besides sattelite this company wouldn't exist. Is it possible that they are selling more bandwidth than they actually have?
Bays is the only company to take on the huge task of laying fiber out to our rural community. We have fiber now with the speeds they promised. Their guys worked hard and were very attentive to our neighborhood.
Hacker paradise. Their 'customers' try to hack your emails. No complaint email address that works. A two bob outfit. Tossers.
The internet is terribly sluggish at its best. Oh is there a single rain cloud in the sky? Dont make any plans on using your internet. You're paying for a service that can be dictated by weather. Rip off and would give it 0 stars if possible.
WiFi sucks sooo much it’s been down for almost a week now maybe worked on super slow speeds for 30 minutes they need to just shut down not worth the money
I've been a Bayes customer since May of 2017. Prior to that I was using Big Red on 4GLTE for my cell phones and internet. We had a 30GB plan and between the phones and the internet, it was upwards of $200 a month. Also, after 10GB of data down, they throttled back the speed due to the 'hotspot' router they said I was running. Too bad it was their router and it was required for usage. Patiently waited for Bayes to get an antenna on the tower two miles away from my house and switched as soon as they did. I started on the 9MBps plan and recently upgraded to the 15MBps plan.
Very happy w/ the service. Speeds are always where they need to be and it rarely fluctuates. I'm not exactly sure of the overall technology but there is an external antenna that needs to be mounted. Pic of my setup is shown. The antenna is the rectangular item at the bottom. I've only had two long term outages. The first back in 2017 for maybe 12 hours due to someone cutting a fiber trunk line. The other was this weekend where we were out for 24 hours plus. Not sure of the reason.
Never had an issue w/ customer service or billing. Very responsive to all questions when asked.
Would definitely recommend IF you have line of sight to a tower. The only way you're going to know that however is if you have them come out and check the signal.
