Bearable Sounds, Nixa MO

I stopped by Bearable Sounds to check out the new neighborhood music store and to my pleasant surprise it was an impressive guitar/music store, the owner, Luis, took the time to sit down and talk with me for a while, I play guitar at venues around town so I will be stopping by again soon for a few purchases.

I love that this store is in my home town. The owner is great. He really knows his stuff. If you need strings or cables or other accessories he's got it. And a great selection of guitars and amps. They also work great with learning guitar players. If you want to learn, this is the place. Go schedule some lessons. Very very reasonable prices on everything.
This business supports local music. That means a lot to a local working musician.

This is the best music store in SWMO! Luis is an incredible musician and guitar teacher. I've had a few teachers through the years, and all of them seemed to have a similar square peg round hole approach to learning songs before you know much about how to really play guitar. Luis focuses on the foundation. You actually LEARN guitar playing at Bearable Sounds! It's fun and I love the space he's set up for people to stop by and check out his inventory. Luis is the real deal! If you're in the market for a new guitar or want to sharpen your playing skillz ~ This is the place to go!

This place is great. Knowledgeable staff! My son is taking piano lessons and they are catering to his specific needs and desires. Would recommend!

I was hesitant about starting my son on the guitar so young (8) thinking he might find it too difficult. He is now finishing up his first 6-week package and loves his guitar lessons with Luis at Bearable Sounds! He has learned a lot already, is excited to move in and get his official lesson book, and he is enthusiastic to continue his lessons past the trial period. Their staff is super friendly, and they have been a great addition to the Nixa community. I’d highly recommend them to anyone looking for music lessons (they also have a lot of guitars and accessories for sale).

Both of my kids (ages 11 and 13) take lessons. Luis is amazing with my son on guitar and Lauren is equally as awesome with my daughter on piano. Both instructors find ways to help the kids find their passion with music instead of plain sheet music that they have struggled in the past to be interested in. I love the extra time taken to find their interests and pull it together to make them excited to go to class and practice.

Luis is one of the best teachers I’ve ever met! His goal isn’t simply to teach you to play an instrument, but to help you become a musician. Bearable Sounds is a great addition to Nixa!

Bearable Sounds is exactly what Nixa has been waiting on! The owner is super friendly and has a knack for explaining and educating. He got me set up with necessary gear and lessons are easy to schedule. I'm loving the progress I am already making due to Luis' teaching methods! I look forward to walking into the shop, just because it's a cool space on its own, with an AWESOME wall of righteous guitars. Thank you, Bearable Sounds.
