Berghoff's Cafe reviews
16If I can write a zero, I would one of the workers she was very rude to us. Didn’t check on us to see if we wanted anymore water or anything. And when I went to pay my bill she just Snatched my card out of my hand and I don’t appreciate that n honestly if she don’t like her job then she don’t need it. Y’all have a great day
Our first experience here was better. The second is not so good. Service was mediocre. Food was not good at all for the price. I got a tiny biscuit that cost 3.99 and two tiny eggs for over 5.00. My friend had pancakes and bacon but said it wasn't so good. But the kicker is the coffee. It was AWFUL!? If it had been good the other grievances would have melted away! They are trying to economize on the coffee but that is not profitable in the long run. But they do have a monopoly. There is no other ma and pop Cafe for over 10 miles or more that is open on Sundays after Church.
Always good and friendly. Just don't show up within and hour till closing, the staff does not like that.
The burgers were awful. Looked like some pre boxed soy patty. The Mac and cheese side was $3 for a tiny cup with maybe 2 spoonfuls, the fries were actually pretty good. But that's about it. The waitress was wonderful. The cook, just don't know how.
The food is good and very affordable. I will go again when I'm in the area. I would recommend them, but check the hours before you ho.
I love the prices, quality of food is consistent, and atmosphere is calm. Perfect for a small town
Every time I come to semo to visit family, I always make it a point to come here for breakfast atleast once each time. Amazing staff, well mannered, polite. Open early for early risers like myself. Amazing food all around breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Definitely a must eat at restaurant!
The French toast OMG words can't describe it!
Well, our second time was just as good as the first! The homemade bread is phenomenal!
Good country restaurant! I had a great breakfast and by the way they serve breakfast all day. Great lunches also! Included menu to show delicious opinions.
Food was good. Service OK. It'd give it 4-5 stars if they had fresh fruit, other heart-healthy options, and better coffee
Small town mid America diner. This was one of the best Biscuits and Gravy platter I have had in long time.
This hole in the wall cafe, will blow your mind! Definitely get the french toast or the sauce biscuit covered in gravy!
Took about 14 minutes to get a drink ordered. Another 6 or so minutes to get the drinks. At which the server took our order. Which was at 10: 25am we did not see our server again until 11: 06am when I flagged her down to ask about our food. Our food came out shortly after I asked about it. The food was dry and tasted like it was in the window for a while. The maple syrup on the table was watered down and disgusting to taste. I feel that if the attentiveness to the table was not there and the priority was take-out orders and not the in-house guests.
Biggest n best blueberry pancakes ever! Eggs over medium we're just the way I like them
I order a plate to go and when I got home, the crust on the homemade bread was burned my husband would not eat it. Everything else was delicious. It was the meatloaf dinner special
Huge breakfast, with the biggest pancake I've ever attempted to finish. Lovely efficient and friendly wait staff. What a little gem of a breakfast place!
